SERVICE CHAMPIONS REPORTING FORMAT

Introduction Service Champions are required to submit various reports to indicate progress and monitor status of implementation of the thematic areas. These reports should be anchored on the work plan agreed upon and adopted by the champions1. The reports should indicate the extent of implementation of activities contained therein. There is need therefore to develop a reporting tool to harmonize and standardize the reporting format.

The secretariat has developed a draft reporting format for discussion by champions. In developing the reporting format, key considerations were made as to what should be contained in the report. The following proposals are therefore made:

Periodic reports to the Bureau: - The purpose of this report is to indicate actual performance against the target set in the work plan by the service champions. It should be submitted to the Bureau semi annually.

. Roles and Responsibilities for Leadership and Management of the Conference of African Ministers of Public/Civil Service Programme.

Final report to the Conference of Ministers: - this is a status report on the implementation of each identified priority area in accordance with the mandate contained in the Declaration2.
