Recent media coverage of events in Egypt have undoubtedly been bias.

One follower of The Australian Coptic Movement Association decide to take it upon themselves to raise their concerns directly to Channel 7s Weekend Sunrise Program host Andrew OKeefe. Dear Friends, No doubt you have heard or been following the news on the events unfolding in Egypt at the moment. On 17 August 2013, Weekend Sunrise host, Andrew OKeefe made a rather ridiculous analogy on National TV in Australia regarding the latest violence in Egypt. After watching the news segment on the show, one must ask, are people really that ignorant? Or do these news reporters live on a different planet? The Muslim Brotherhood for 80 years have been a very main stream non-radical organisation politically and has also operated on the social sphere, much like the Salvation Army might in Australia.

Several questions arise from what was said on the Weekend Sunrise show and I wish to address these with you all and with Mr. OKeefe.

Firstly, Mr. OKeefe, how can you compare a worldwide Christian church and charity who show their Christian faith by providing the love and social care for those in need to that of the terrorist organisation (the Muslim Brotherhood) who have only one commodity to trade in Blood? Are violence and barbaric acts what the Salvation Army stand for in Australia? Mr. OKeefe, your guest on the show, foreign editor, Dr. Keith Suter stated that violence is their main instrument for getting their point of view across. Do you and the rest of the Western media not see the rise in attacks on Egypts minority Coptic Christians? Or do you choose to ignore the extent of the violence carried out by this extremist terrorist organisation and follow Americas lead? Why are the views of the Western media biased and cover only one side of the story? Why has there been no mention of all the churches that have been torched and bought to the ground or the

innocent Christians who have had their homes and businesses attacked and burned by this radical clan in the last few days? Or is because those who speak louder, have their voices heard? Why has there been no mention or footage of the attacks on police stations throughout Egypt that have led to the deaths of police officers and mutilation of their bodies by members of the Muslim Brotherhood? Why has there been no mention of the large quantity of weapons and live ammunition seized by police at the Muslim Brotherhood sit-ins which were apparently peaceful protests? Why was there no mention of the 20 bodies found under the Raaba el Adaweya platform sit-in whilst members of the Muslim Brotherhood were dancing and singing on top of the platform knowing the bodies belonged to innocent people who were tortured and killed by the terrorists days before and were not buried? Why are people like you and the rest of the Western world condemning the Egyptian security forces and ignoring the many deaths and injuries that have occurred amongst the police, army and Christians? Has the Western world ever asked why the security forces have had to use force and power? Did it ever occur to you that the Muslim Brotherhood are armed and violent and thats why the security forces have had to intervene?

Is that enough Mr. OKeefe, or shall I keep going?

Lets flip it around, if Australia or any of the Western countries experienced what Egypt has experienced in the last week and numerous times before, would you still side with these radical terrorists? Or would you be the first to label these crimes as barbaric? WAKE UP WESTERN WORLD & STOP BEING OBLIVIOUS TO THE ACTS OF THIS RADICAL TERRORIST ORGANISATION!!!
