Application
This product has been designed to operate at no more than 60C in dry or wet conditions. Besides that, the Nylon sheath provides protection to chemical agents and petroleum derivatives, therefore this product might be used for wiring solutions at either industrial or commercial and residential applications. Its black pigmentation on the external jacket resist the ultraviolet sun light exposure, thereby, these might be used at outside or wet applications.

Detail Description or Construction

TSJ conductor is an insulated multiconductor composed by bunch-stranded annealed copper exible conductors, each single cord has a thermoplastic insulation of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) and its protected by a Nylon sheath, in addition, the whole multiconductor is protected by a thermoplastic insulation of PVC. Designed to operate at not more than 600V, the TSJ is manufactured in constructions duplex (two single conductors), triplex (three single conductors) and quadruplex (four single conductors), also in sizes from 20 AWG up to 6AWG. Product color identication is the following: Duplex: black- white Triplex: black-white-red Quadruplex: black-white-red-green

Standards / Testing Specications

TSJ conductors have been designed according to ASTM B172, B174, UL-62 and UL-83 specications and requirements of the latest version of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Installation
TSJ are widely used as part of non permanent installations as specied at article 400 of NEC: Low voltage appliance wiring. Tooling and portable lamps wiring. When its required to feed suspended and unhide lamps thru an outlet connector. To feed portable systems. As part of non permanent wiring system. Not permitted use and recommendations: In order to substitute outlets wiring for a permanent installation. It shall not be installed inside walls, suspended oor or roof. It shall not be wire up thru any hole at walls, suspended oor or roof. It shall not pass thru doors, windows or any opening where it could be damaged by sharp points. It shall not be stapled or nail down on the solid parts of the installation. It shall not be tubing in conduit. When used in an electric circuits derivation box, its recommended to use suitable connectors to insure the cable integrity. TSJ cannot substitute installation elements which need mechanical resistance since it is not designed for heavy duty applications. It is recommended that the installation instructions indicated by the Local Electric Code, or any equivalent, be followed in order to keep persons safe and the integrity of the product will not be affected by installation deciencies.
