Commissioning Step of the Power plant. 1. Commissioning of the Switchyard.

Meet startup power and export requirement from grid. 2. Testing and Commissioning of the Transformers. Ensure availability of power supply to the different drives of different voltage level. 3. Commissioning of the Switchgear. Ensure HT power supply to the different drives with all electrical protection. 4. Commissioning of the different area MCC. Ensure HT power supply to the different drives with all electrical protection. 5. Commissioning of the raw water pump. Ensure availability of the water to meet process requirement. 6. Commissioning of the DM Plant. Producing deminerlised water from raw water to meet water requirement for the boiler And water cooler of different equipment. 7. Commissioning of cooling water pumps. Supplying cooling water to condenser and Plate heat exchanger. 8. Commissioning of the equipment cooling water pumps. Ready to Supply cooling water to different coolers of the equipment. 9. Commissioning of the Air compressor. Ready to Supply air to different pneumatic valves and other plant process requirement. 10. Commissioning of all actuators. To ensure correct operation, full opening full closing of the different valves.

11. Alkali boil out, acid cleaning and passivation of boiler proper and boiler front system. To ensure Boiler is free from all loose debris, oil, grease and mill rust and a protective layer is formed on the boiler tube surface. 12. Gas tightness test of the ESP. Ensure no leakage from and to the ESP. 13. Commissioning of the ID Fan, FD Fan and Air pre heater. To ensure availability of the drives required in Boiler for production of the steam. 14. Gas tightness test of the boiler and Air and flue gas ducts. To ensure there is no leakage from/to the boiler. 15. Commissioning of the fuel oil system. To ensure supply of the Oil to the boiler for the Boiler start up. 16. Commissioning of the Boiler feed pump. To ensure continuous supply of DM water for the Boiler. 17. Commissioning of the Turbine lube oil pump. To ensure supply of lubrication oil from the storage tank to the Turbine bearings. 18. Turbine lube oil flushing. To ensure right quality of the oil going to the turbine bearings. 19. Putting turbine on barring gear. To facilitate releasing heat of the turbine shaft. 20. Condenser leak test. To prevent ingress of the air from outside to the condenser. 21. Commissioning of the air extraction system. To pull and maintain vacuum in the condenser.

22. Commissioning of the condensate extraction pump. To ensure supply water from Hot well to dearator. 23. Commissioning of the Seal oil system. To prevent stator cooling hydrogen from the generator to atmosphere. 24. Commissioning of the HP bypass and LP bypass system. To meet the start up process requirement. 25. Commissioning of the DEH oil system. To ensure governing oil for Turbine. 26. Turbine rolling and synchronization. Rotating steam turbine at 3000 rpm and synchronizing with the grid. 27. Commissioning of the coal firing system (Coal mill, raw coal feeder and seal air fan). Ensure stable coal firing for the Boiler and raising load to 300Mw. 28. Commissioning of the Ash handling system. To evacuate generated ash from Boiler to the ash pond. 29. Raising load on unit gradually to 60%. Raising load to 180 mw and stopping Oil firing. 30. Raising load to 300 mw. Slowly raising load to 300mw and putting all heat exchanger in service. 31. PG test of the Boiler and Turbine. Ensure all the equipments meets the process requirement correctly and plant as whole is performing as per guaranteed performance given by the supplier.
