My

Services: I create an adjustable curriculum for your children. This means I would start with a certain plan and program, but I am always open to your suggestions and comments, and according to these, I will adjust my program. The music curriculum would consist of four major components of music education in order to meet the national music education standards: 1. Notation Notation means learning how to read and write music. Included are the rhythm, meter and dynamics. Notation is also considered to be another language. When a child learns music notation, they became aware of existence of another way of conveying information, which will help them immensely later with analytical thinking and learning of foreign languages. At some point we would try composing our own music. 2. Listening to and analyzing and describing the music Under this category we should be able to recognize the quality of the music we are listening to, so that we can control our own music production. The parents will not always know if their child is doing a good job while practicing. Thus, with listening, analyzing and describing the music, the children learn how to practice. 3. Learning instruments/voice Here we put our theoretical knowledge to the test. We learn our instruments (recorders, piano or flute) very well and understand their capacities. We proceed to learn how to produce the notes and sounds and begin with simple melodies Eventually, we want to play in an ensemble. 4. Performance Performance is one of the most important aspects of music. Children will have at least two concerts a year that I organize, or perhaps more with other cultural institutions. This will build childrens confidence, character, since on the stage they are on their own. They depend on their own skills, which they obtain through daily practice. The feeling of achievement at the end of such an endeavor is incomparable and it busts their confidence! The three 45. Min sessions that I would have with your children would consist of these aspects of music education. I would alternate between them and mix them up so that it does not become a routine, but becomes a fun-filled hour.

Bonus: 1. Chorus for children and parents; lets prepare concerts at least two times a year! 2. Once or twice a month, I will have professional musicians from the area come and describe their instrument and perform for the kids. This way, your children will learn what constitutes an orchestra and what compositions are written for it. 3. I will get a rehearsal pass for the Symphonicity, and we can take the kids to listen to a real orchestra rehearsal with the conductor and all the instruments present. 4. Art History. I would be willing to introduce the kids to the art world, art periods, artists We can learn how to look at the work of art and what does it entail. Why is it called art and other similar questions. Perhaps, we can organize a trip to the museum. 5. I am fluent in six languages. We can also discuss potential learning of a foreign language (German and/or Latin). I believe that humanities improve the quality of life. They are by no means necessary, but the studies show (and my personal experience as well) that children who are exposed to higher state of existing (art, music, interdisciplinary studies, languages) thrive better in life and understand the world around them better. Art, music and languages carry significant amount of knowledge that was built throughout the centuries. This knowledge, which was once accessible only to the monarchs, is now accessible to all of us. It helps our children to become well- rounded, sophisticated and contributing citizens of our society.
