On Pecuniary Realm (An Assignment on Essay Writing)

Oct 10, 2012 Draft No. 1

Today, there are many different jobs in the world to choose from. Every person dreams that many aspire to be become leaders, politicians and social reformers. Some people dream of becoming rich or becoming business tycoons. There are others who have a craze for becoming poets, writers and novelists while most of us generally have a desire of becoming engineers, doctors and scientists of great repute. There are a very few people, who are lackadaisical by nature and have no clear-cut aim in lives. Todays economy has been experiencing continuous economic changes which are fuelled by the mark of globalizalization while facilitated by the economic liberation that produced not only a world of economic development but also a world of possibilities. Adults in the economic world are raised to be confident and hopeful, goal oriented, civic-minded, and egalitarian who expect success as the product of their work. The rapid influx of women in the economic world has changed the worlds expectations to their working lives, reconfiguring the image of economy. Changing womens roles have coincided with the emergence of a new culture when it comes to what it means to be a family or what a good family looks like. Currently, most families do not expect fathers to support the family on one income, and most of them do not look forward to forming that kind of family themselves. People, most especially women, adopted modernized thinking with a series of positive trends resulting in an unprecedented economic growth. In the past, women were given limited role in the political and economical spheres of life for they are enclosed to the reproductive work while men are enclosed to the productive work. But now, the image of women on the workplace has been continually increasing more wives and mothers either enter the labor force or began to work longer hours. These economic transformations have changed the way that individuals and families interact with schools, community institutions, and employers. However, the increasing number of workers has produced its own predicament with regards to the increasing populations in every country. The reduction of the stability of wages and benefits known as the risk economy has entered the economy. One reason is that people decided to move from a male-breadwinner into a dual-earner family. Men and women are likely to work in their later years of life due to the unavailability of positions in the workplace. Some people stayed unemployed or underemployed; thus, increasing poverty level. Furthermore, the rising costs of products and other needs left many people not covered in insurance, individual retirement accounts have largely replaced pensions, and reduced wages and lower investment returns have reduced household incomes. When economic sufficiency becomes more difficult to achieve, the rest of the transition to adulthood is also affected. For earlier generations, life-course transitions tended to occur together: completing high school, getting married, finding full-time employment, establishing an

independent household, and having children. However, today, only few had completed all these transitions and a quite some never do and remain single throughout adulthood. Some people find a way to escape the bonds of the risk economy. Couples try to team up to support each other, completing college and soon get married or form a long-term stable romantic partnership, working together to amass resources and remaining childless until late adulthood. They avoid the responsibility of child-rearing until both of them are employed. Some tends to remain single who receives substantial help from their parents to finish college while finding a job. The continuous rising standards of economy shaped the people by accelerating innovations, making them become more spirited advocates and radically improving peoples skills while helping them reach the transition to adulthood in the field of career and family.
