Percentage Pass Rates on Exams Sat by Undergraduate Laws Students in 2011-12

Exam session
Below we have produced a statistical breakdown of all pass rates by Zone for the May/June 2012
examination diet. As results vary considerably from course to course and from country to country
analysis of this data is far from straightforward as it must take into account the significant number of
variables that comparison of student results across the globe entails. It is important to remember
that due to the hugely disparate nature of our student body there is no typical student on the
Undergraduate Laws Programme. When considering this data it is therefore very important to note:

The fact that Zone B encompasses 17 countries whereas Zone A encompasses 83

The availability in some countries of support from institutions, and the lack in many others
Different student profiles and modes of study typical to certain countries (full time, part
time, weekends etc)
Different entry levels - in some countries the student profile is overwhelmingly graduate
entry, whereas in other countries students can only satisfy our General Entrance
Requirements, and in still other countries, students enter at the Diploma level because they
do not meet the Gen. Entry requirements for the LLB
These statistics do not distinguish between students making their first attempt at an exam or
their second, third or fourth attempt.
