Procedure
Video: Sheikh Khalid and driving safety. What traffic problems are there in the UAE? Share stories of what you have witnessed. VPI 2.2 Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi. PI 2.2.1 role model a campaign recklessly launch expert adjectives and adverbs Ss work in pairs writing sentences using adverbs of manner on how to drive more safely. Share with the class. Noughts and crosses: Divide the class into teams. Write adjectives in the spaces and SS choose one each time and change it to an adverb. Continue until one of the teams gets 3 in a row. Words quick, bad, shy, careful, quiet, heavy, dramatic, wrong, skilful, quick, serious, happy, painful, heavy, angry, urgent, loud, dangerous, etc. Celebrity Heads: One representative from each team (maximum of three works best) sits on a chair facing the class and back to the board. T (or a student) writes the name of a celebrity who they would all know on the board behind each person. (e.g. Mickey Mouse, Madonna, Barak Obama, etc). They dont know which character they are. In turns they ask the rest of the class yes / no questions. The class is only allowed to answer yes or no. e.g. Am I female? Am I on TV? If they get a yes answer, they can ask a second question, if they get a no answer the next person has a turn. The first person to guess who they are gains a point for their team. A new group of SS are then selected to sit on the chairs, and so on, until everyone has had a turn or the game has run its course. Back to the Board: (reviews adverbs) Two chairs are put in the front of the classroom, facing away from the whiteboard. Class is broken into two teams. One SS from each
