The Print Excellence Competition, owned and managed by


The Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG), is an
annual event that recognizes and rewards printing and imaging
companies who combine fine craftsmanship with technology
in order to produce outstanding finished products. The award-
winning companies are honored each year at PIAG’s Celebration
of Print Gala. This awards annual has been produced in order to
showcase their exceptional work.

T he J u d ging

A total of 876 entries were submitted by 48 companies and 5


graphic arts high schools from across the state. The criteria
for judging are registration, neatness and clarity, sharpness
of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of
color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing,
effective contrast or softness, overall visual impact and bindery.
