Entry strategies for water treatment players into oil and gas markets
With energy demand on the rise, more and more oil and gas companies are pursuing unconventional production through the application of enhanced recovery methods. Nearly all unconventional and enhanced recovery methods involve the use of significant amounts of water and, therefore, the specific technical and management challenges related to water. This has significant implications for water treatment and calls for a new way of doing business. The energy sector now needs to access the best that the water treatment industry has to offer. Likewise, the water treatment industry has to appreciate the complexity of water challenges in the oil and gas industry and identify which water technologies make the most sense for the problems involved. How can water companies find their way in to the oil and gas market? Led by Dr. John Walsh of GHD Pty. Ltd. and GWIs Water Desalination Report Editor Tom Pankratz, our half day seminar will weigh up the opportunities in the oil and gas industries and identify entry strategies for water treatment specialists.
We enjoyed the conference in Houston and found the seminar very informative.
