Opportunities for Partnership

THE PHILIPPINES IS HIGHLY VULNERABLE TO CLIMATE CHANGE

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT Filipinos have little choice but to adapt to the effects of climatic change and natural disasters Filipino scientists, when harnessed effectively, can help reduce the impact of a changing climate. Science-based information to develop solutions for managing the risk from climate change and natural disaster are needed NOW!

THE LOPEZ GROUP SHARES THIS BELIEF AND AIMS TO BUILD ON IT

To honor its Chairman Emeritus Oscar M. Lopez, and to continue his work for the environment and nation building, the Lopez Group provided the seed fund for the establishment of the OML Center.

GUIDING PRINCIPLE: SCIENCE FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Climate-related risks and disasters threaten the aspiration to develop sustainably.

The Center recognizes that science and technology have a critical role to play in enhancing the resilience and coping capacity of the various sectors of society.
