Subsea Power Bank

The low cost alternative for upgrading your subsea installation

FEATURES Local energy storage Fully galvanic isolation Multi output/input

The Subsea Power Bank system is a distributed power and control system. It is the cost effective way of extending instrumentation of your existing subsea installation. The system have multiple connections and can be hooked-up to, and communicate thru, the existing subsea control systems.

Subsea Power Bank

The Subsea Power Bank is a smart control with built in power storage capacity. This combination makes it possible to control consumers like a valve actuator to open or close or sensors to collect data in a controlled sequence.
The Power Bank solution secures full functionality of all equipment operated in sequences controlled by the integrated control system. The Subsea Power Bank is typical powered and communicating through an already installed subsea umbilical or a spare comport on existing control system. This system will thus allow for installing more instrumentation on already installed infrastructure with very limited power and communication availabilities. This will again allow designing the electrical distribution system for trickle charging rather than peak loads in a ESD or PSD situation. Such a system can result in high MTBF and Availability numbers due to the ability for self testing and conditional monitoring of the energy level. The internal control system can be set to limit the charging current to a preset value. Input and output communication is exible and can be Ethernet, RS485, RS232 or others. Protocols available is MODBUS RTU, MODBUS TCP, TCP, UDP or others when needed. The Subsea Power Bank system can be a power and communication source for multiple actuators, cameras, lights, hydraulic control units, sand detectors, ow measuring units, vibration sensors etc. The unit can be used as a communication switch, router and protocol converter for output systems. In combination with the Oceaneering Subsea All Electric 3 Stab, the 3 Stab inductive connector makes all connected equipment galvanic isolated from each other and the Power Bank. The 3 Stab also open up for exibility on output voltage for connected equipment.
