Who We Are
The Tar River Reading Council is made up of educators in Pitt and Beaufort Counties interested in promoting literacy and encouraging a love of literacy.

Membership in TRRC
Membership in the Tar River Reading Council also gives you membership in the North Carolina Reading Association.$10 of your dues goes directly to NCRA for your membership. Membership runs from August 1st -June 1st. TRRC Annual Membership Dues: Early-Bird (before Oct 1st), $15.00 Regular Membership, $20.00 Student Membership: $15.00 IRA Members: $15.00

What We Do
The Tar River Reading Council meets periodically throughout the school year to share literacy related instructional strategies. We provide a networking opportunity among educators. We also organize events to promote literacy in the community.

Mission
Through community outreach and the collaboration of educators, businesses, and families, the Tar River Reading Council will promote literacy and a lifelong love of reading.
