INDUSTRIAL HELMET: 1. The helmets shall have the following properties: a. Good shock absorption resistance b.

Penetrant resistance c. Water Absorption resistance. 2. The helmet shall be made of HDPE material with narrow brim. 3. The surface of the Shell shall be natural finish and Blue colour. 4. It shall have an adjustable headband equipped with sweat-resisting Lining. The width shall not be less than 30 mm. 5. The ventilation gap between the head band and the shell of 10 mm to 20 mm. 6. Inside, the dimension of the Head-band in the longitudinal direction shall be 20 to 25% greater than the inside dimension of the cross wise direction. 7. The shell shall have clearance of not less than 30 mm. between the inside of the top of the Crown and top of the wearers head. 8. The wearing height shall not be less than 80 mm. 9. The Head-band shall be fitted with atleast four Crown straps each extending from one side of the Head band to the other. The width of the crown strap shall be 20mm. 10.It shall have the Leather chin strap as per IS 2925 1975. 11.It must withstand the Penetration Resistance test and Shock Absorption Test as per IS 2925 1975. 12.The STERLITE emblem in (size 30-mm diameter) shall be screen printed at the front side of the Helmet in black colour.

EYE PROTECTION PANORAMA GOGGLES: 1. The goggles shall be made out of soft Vinyl frame light in weight with poloycarbonate lens. 2. They shall have a non-fogging clear to the thickness of 1.0mm to 1.5mm. 3. They shall have three vents on either side. 4. They shall have a pair of adjustable elastic band for tying.

SPECTACLE TYPE SAFETY GOGGLES FITTED WITH TOUGHENED LENSES: 1. The Frame should be of conventional type used with good quality cellulose Acetate material with reinforcement on the sides and opaque. 2. The Toughened Lens should be an imported on (English, White Toric, Plain, Optically Neutral) and should withstand the Steel-ball Impact Test as per IS : 7524 (Part I) 3. The thickness of the Lens shall be 2.8 mm. 4. Good, durable, Screws and Hinges on the side-legs with good workmanship must be ensured. 5. There should not be any defect either in the frame, or in the Lens, and the Goggles should be of smooth and fine surface quality. 6. The size of the goggles is to be marked with Nos. 48, 50 & 52 respectively on the inner side of the one Side-leg. 7. The initials of the Maker shall be embossed on the inner side of the other leg, to identify the firm.

8. The goggles should be packed in a good, Safety case, completely enclosing the goggles with a cleaner. 9. Subjected to 100% inspection. 10.If any defective goggles are supplied, they have to be replaced, free of cost. ACID AND ALKALI-PROOF RUBBER GOGGLES: This goggles shall be made out of good quality Rubber with sponge lining inside and fitted with clear, Non-shatterable lenses, or Toughened Lenses, in size 50 m dia. with adjustable Elastic Band. PLAIN ROUND GLASS 50 MM DIA AND PLAIN GLASS 105 MM x 80 MM a. The goggles shall be made of glass, and shall be free from optical defects, Lens or Prism defects and shall be of uniform surface. b. They shall have transmission to visible light not less than 85% c. The thickness shall be 2.0 + 0.5mm d. The size shall be dia. 50mm / 150 mm X 80 mm.

Earplugs are made out of soft Foam EAR MUFFS a. Dielectric earmuffs are light in weight, hygienic and specially designed for maximum reduction of unpleasant air-borne noise. b. HAND PROTECTION LEATHER GLOVES: 1. Good quality of Chrome-tanned Cow/Young Baffalo Grain Leather as per IS : 578 1954 should be used for palm. 2. Good quality of Chrome-tanned Cow/Young Buffalo plit leather should be used for Fingers back and front cuff. 3. Leather for the back cuff and reinforcement pieces should be dyed in Brown colour and Grain-printed. 4. The Leather used for the Palm, Fingers back and the Front cuff should be of natural colour. 5. The thickness of the Leather should be from 1.00mm to 1.5 mm. 6. The Nylon Thread of Sewing cottong 60S/6 Thread (Variety No.16 of IS 1729 1960) should be used. 7. The Gloves should be machine-stitched and the number of the stitches should be 3 per cm. ASBESTOS GLOVES: 1. The gloves shall be made out of K 21 Turner Asbestos cloth. 2. They shall be five fingers type of clute pattern 3. They shall have double-padded Lining of Asbestos cloth and Canvas Lining at Palm position to withstand the high temperature of 1000 degree Celsius. ACID AND ALKALI PROOF RUBBER GLOVES: 1. Industrial Acid and Alkali-proof Rubber Gloves, made out of quality, thick Rubber in sizes 12, 14 and 16.

CANVAS GLOVES: 1. The gloves shall be made out of good quality, thick Canvas cloth. 2. They shall be five fingers type ( clute pattern as per IS: 6994 1973) 3. The stitches shall be 23.5mm with the end of all stitching securely back stitched. 4. The cotton sewing thread conforming to variety No.23 of IS: 1720 1969 shall be used. 5. The size shall be 350 mm.
