Introduced to the opportunity - one of my close friend and colleauge sandeep met and shared the project. Questions asked - : (Qualification) 1) Why do you want to do something on your own..? 2) It's a 3-4 yrs project and would require time, approx 10-15 hrs a week..? 3) This project would require learning and unlearninig, r u open for that..? 4) This project would require seed capital, how much you can spare comfortably..? approx 3-4 lacs 5) Who is the decision maker in your case..? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Company background - We have partnered with a hongkong based MNC - QI group, QI has partners/customers in over 180 countries, they have 26 regional offices in various countries including india. The company was started in 1998 by 7 visionaries , the business strategy was planned for approx 2 yrs from 1996 to 98 and finally they came with one. They had the option of opening up physical stores but the prblm there was that reach would have been limited and setup cost was very high. Hence they decided to go internet way as cost was less and reach was endless. Dot com was the phenomenon during those days, new companies like baazi etc came up but after y2k most of these companies were either busted or taken over. While all these companies were getting shut, we were making record turnover. In yr 2002 we made a record turnover of 267 million dollars which no other companies of the world like microsoft, infosys, ibm etc had not achieved and precisely for the same reason we were listed in forbes magazine. We are regular in forbes since then. We were holding the record until 2009 , the record was broken by another online company, you must be updating ur status everyday on that. It was facebook , which was founded by a 23 yr old guy ' Mark Elliot Zuckerberg' in 2004. Our revenues were 2.1 billion dollars until last year. Common thing between us and facebook is that facebook is internet and social networking and we are internet and business networking. We are the no. 1 ecommerce company in asia and 3rd largest ecommerce company in the world after ebay and amazon.

Difference between ebay or amazon and us is that these compaines deal into 3rd party products where as we have our own subsideries who manufacture the products and supply to customers. Since the products are supplied directly through the manufacturer using ecommerce model, there is no distribution/supply chain/intermidiary cost. Company brand ambassodors - Muralidharan, Saurav ganguly, richard branson etc Events - sponsored formula 1 virgin car in delhi F1, bangalore open tennis tournament etc. Product Line - We are into Telecom, Travel, Wellness, luxury & collectibles (jewellery watches etc), logistics, Property and project mgmt All these are exclusive products and beat competion either in terms of exclusivity or price. For ex. Holiday, In Voice (B2B and B2C), Luxury, elearning etc...Brand names - bernard, chairos, cimier(rated above rado and rolex), QVI, QI comm, Amezcua (German brand),Swiss elerning institute etc Eg. Nokia E52 was available in portal for 2 yrs exclusively with us. 1.) Travel - There are over 2.5 million customers of QVI. Cost of stay through QVI Club in 3 star to 7star / boutique properties is approx rs 3500 to 6500 per night in india and abroad, this cost is for upto 4 adults with no seasonality 2.) Telecom - our own subsidiary is QI communications headquartered in London manages telecom infra for london underground (tube), ministry of defecnce UK, tesley mobile etc. in india airtel and bsnl are our clients. We provide long distance international telecom infra to these companies. In B2C we have our own application which can be installed on a mobile phone(androids, E series, i phone etc) and call cost through In voice would be 40 paise to 2.40 paise per min which is straightway 80% saving. International roaming is again 40 paise to 2.40 paise, calls between 2 global numbers in wi fi zone is free. 3.) Healthcare/Wellness - Our brand name is amezcua - based out of germany . we manufacture nano scaler enginereed devices which help controlling blood sugar, hyperytension and other chronic deseases. It also helps curing skin related problems. Various laboratories in india and abroad have certified these products , indian laboratory - center for biofield studies certifies that it balances chakras in our body. 4.) Education - tied up with swiss e learning university which provides mini mba and many other professional courses online. 5.) Lifestyle - Our brands are bernard h mayer, cimier and chairos, 147 yr old swiss brand in manufactring luxury watches. Hand made, limited edition watches. Some of the watches in cimier are rated higher then rado and rolex.like that there are many of products available on the portal which are either cost effective or unique in nature for water purification syste m which uses moisture from air.

Business Model - There was a challenge then on 1998 and even now some companies have not been able to overcome it that there is no look and feel, touch factor on Ecommerce Who is the best brand ambassodor for any product (ex shahrukh, amitabh etc), all this is false mktg. It is the end customer. Most likely people will go by their frnds/families suggestion to make a buy decision rather than a model. In recent boston consulting survey future for companies is internet/online, networking and word of mouth QI overcame this challenge in 1998 using the same word of mouth power coupled with ecommerce making it a deadly combination. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Business Model Operation - Their is a portal having exclusive products on display, our role is to increase the traffic/footprint on the portal. Since the best brand ambassador for any product is the end customer hence he is one who will tell about the products and services available on the portal and divert the buyer to the portal. Once the buyer tries to purchase the product the system will ask for the referral code...."This is what separates us from any other ecommerce company". Once the code is entered than only transaction gets completed. Upon each trx completion their is a revenue generated for the company, from that revenue approx 12-14% gets paid to the referrar. Ask for share in the network..!!! Drop a bomb ...""It's equal partnership"" everyone makes 12-14% How is that possible...? - there is a cap of 6 lacs a week beyond which anything earned goes into companies profitability, charity (RYTHM) 57% in payouts, 7 % liquidity, 15% product cost, 7 % in product research, 14% as profit. Ask for the best part ---------------------------------------------------------The portal has a 1 cr customer base already Our team's Vision - Create 1 lac customer base in next 3-4 yrs times, everyone knows 10 people thats how we'll be 1 lac in few yrs. out of 1 lac say 10,000 people putting in 30 mins on an average per pay means approx 5000 hrs working for us everyday. Isn't infosys making more money than an employee, obviously since there are morehrs working for them. Company is coming up with new products eg. general insurance - atleast 10% will buy if online cost is 6000 and mkt c0st is 10,000, which means 6 cr of turnover and 14% of 6 cr is 84 lacs. Company has already done kyc for the customers, they will just shoot a mail.

This was one way of making money, then there are other ways like repeat product sales - eg car insurance which is online will be cheaper than market for eg. if a mass mailer goes to 1 lac customers for this car insurance, how many will buy out of 1 lac. Lets say 10% then 10,000 * 1lac = 7 cr of revenue generated for the company and 12% of 7 cr's is 84 lacs of passive income.
