vii Abstract Spondias pinnata is an evergreen parasitic plant under the family anacardiaceae and used traditionally in medicinal system. This plant reported to have in vitro antioxidant activity (non-enzymatic hemoglobin glycosylation), and antibacterial activity. The intention of the study was to emphasize on the separating the compounds of methanol extracts of S.pinnata according to their polarity and evaluate their cytotoxicity, antioxidant activity and antimicrobial activity. To fulfill this purpose I did partition of the extracts of S.pinnata into Ethyl acetate solvent system. Then evaluate the antioxidant activity , cytotoxic property by using brine shrimp lethality bioassay. After collection, identification and drying the tree sample, extraction was performed by using methanol solvent system. Then partition was done. Then extracted components were used to evaluation.
Key Words: Spondias pinnata, Brine shrimp lethality assay, Ethyl acetate
