As far as application for the use of loudspeakers, holding of religious/other functions is concerned, the concerned SHO after necessary verification, shall send his recommendation/non-recommendation for such permission, as the case may be, to the office of SSP/Chandigarh, through the concerned SDPO, for onward submission to the District Magistrate through DSP/CID, for further action. SHOs have been advised to pay special attention to such cases and deal it on priority basis. Public Window A person can submit the complaint/suggestion at Public Window, at Police Headquarters, Sector 9, Chandigarh or through fax No. 0172-2742096 from 9 AM to 5 PM or through e-mail police@chd.nic.in . Complaints received at Police Headquarters are entered in computer and a computerized receipt is given to complainant in each case. After receipt of complaint, the same is put up before the senior officers and thereafter, sent to the concerned unit for necessary action. Disposal period for general complaints is 15 days whereas 45 days in case of complaint related to Crime against Women or Economic offences. After enquiry into the complaint within stipulated period, the same is received back at Public window and put up before the concerned officers for final orders. Stolen/Recovered Vehicles Information Counter This counter is providing service for issue of NOC w.r.t. Vehicle inquiry from National Database of Stolen Vehicles. Applicant has to submit application on the prescribed Performa alongwith fee of Rs.20/(to be deposited in cash ) at this counter. After processing the data, a computerized No Objection Certificate (NOC) will be given to the applicant. NOC of MOB is also being issued to the applicant at this counter free of cost. Working hours of this counter are as below:Monday to Friday Saturday & Sunday 9 AM to 10 AM to 5 PM 12 Noon
