2 Time: 1047 Bald eagle Sandy Hevener 0.5 mile west of VA 637 north of US Adult BE perched in maple, flew circled
Adult 250 2.4 miles and perched again. It flew again and
perched on forest edge west of maple
about 300 yards.

2 Time: 1500 Bald eagle Chris T. Swecker West side of VA 637 about 4.2 Adult BE in hay field with two vultures
adult miles north of US 250 nearby. BE ate carrion (groundhog?)
and vultures eventually flew away.

9 Bald eagles (2) Tommy Crooks Near Bullpasture River east of VA Two adult BE eating on deer carcass.
adults 678 about 7 miles south of US 250 Observor reports seeing young eagles,
but not sure if any hatch year birds.

Adult Monterey most of the day. It didn’t seem to be
carrying anything. Observer
suggested it could be hunting rabbits in
yard.
