POPE FRANCIS DECLARES SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2013 AS Global Day of Prayer and Fasting

For Peace in Syria, Middle East and the Whole world. Pope Francis said, On [Saturday] the 7th of September, here [in St Peters Square], from 7 PM until midnight, we will gather together in prayer, in a spirit of penitence, to ask from God this great gift [of peace] for the beloved Syrian nation and for all the situations of conflict and violence in the world. Let us all Participate along with our holy Father and with the Universal Church.

Happy Birthday to our blessed
Mother Mary. September 8th we celebrate the birth of the Blessed virgin Mary of whom was born the son of Justice, Christ our Lord. Her nativity brought dawn of hope and salvation to the world. The birth of a child is always a joyful event in the family. The coming of a child into the world is a clear sign that God still loves the world. Mary in a special way is a gift to all of us. She is a gift to the church. She is the mother of the Church. She is given as mother to each one of us by Jesus himself (Jn 19: 25-27). As we celebrate today the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary we are reminded that each of us comes into this world loved by God, and destined for greatness destined to share in the merits of the death and resurrection of Jesus. May Mary intercede for all of us in our needs. Let us resolve to grow in our filial devotion to her. To honor the mother is to honor her Son. Hail Mary, you are blessed among women. Pray for us now and at the hour of our death. May she lead us to Jesus.

Feliz cumpleaos a nuestra bendita madre Maria. El 8 de septiembre celebramos el nacimiento de la Santsima Virgen Mara, quien dio luz al hijo de justicia, Cristo nuestro seor. Su nacimiento trajo al mundo un nuevo amanecer de esperanza y salvacin. El nacimiento de un hijo es siempre un acontecimiento alegre en la familia. La venida de un nio al mundo es una seal clara de que Dios ama al mundo. Maria de una manera especial es un regalo para todos nosotros. Es un regalo para la iglesia. Ella es la madre de la iglesia. Es dada como madre a cada uno de nosotros por Jess (Jn 19: 25-27). El cumpleaos de la Santsima Virgen Mara nos recuerda que cada uno de nosotros viene a este mundo amado por Dios y destinado a la grandeza, destinado a compartir los mritos de la muerte y resurreccin de Jess. Que Mara interceda por nosotros en nuestras necesidades. Y que nuestra devocin cresca filialmente a ella. Por que honrar a la madre es honrar a su hijo. Dios te salve Mara, bendita entre las mujeres. Ruega por nosotros ahora y en el la hora de nuestra muerte.
