experts and infrastructure leaders from the most iconic construction projects around the

world have gathered in Panama for the "lnternational Engineering and lnfrastructure Congress - Panama Canal 2OL2,'sharing best practices for project delivery, risk
management and construction financing.

This fascinating discourse presented the constructon best practices in use at the One World

Trade Center project site in New York City, the lead building of the new World Trade Center complex, currently under construction in Lower Manhattan. Ttris landmark building represents an investment of SE.g billon dollars. Upon its completion in 2AL3, One World Trade Center with L05 stories, will be the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere by pinnacle height and the 3rd-tallest building in the

world. lts spire will reach a symbolic t,776 feet (541.3 m) in reference to the year of American independence. However, its roof height, at 1,368 feet (417.0 m), will still be 82 feet (25.0 m) shorter than the roof of Chicago's Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower).
One World Trade Center is located at the northwest corner of the L6-acre World Trade Center site, occupying the location where the original 8-story 6 World Trade Center once

stood. The construction is part of an effort to memorialize and rebuild after the original World Trade Center complex in New York City was destroyed during the attacks of September L1.,zOOt.
