The payment conditions for student studying the English Language Preparation programme at RHULISC can be viewed at: www.rhul.ac.uk/isc/terms NB: In the case of a student who studies the English Language Preparation programme followed by the International Foundation Programme, the terms and conditions found online will apply for the payment of the English Language Preparation programme, and the terms and conditions found on page 3 will apply for the payment of the International Foundation Programme.

3. Fees paid by a sponsor

Royal Holloway is recognised by a large number of scholarship bodies for sponsorship of students courses. You may alternatively have acquired sponsorship through your company or another funding body. If a third party, for example your employer or a funding body is paying part, or all of your fees, we must see the original letter confirming the level of support before we can issues an invoice to your sponsor. it is important that this letter is sent to us as soon as possible once you accept an offer an Royal Holloway. If your employer or sponsorship body requires a Purchase Order please ensure we are provided with the necessary information in good time. In addition, students who are funding their fees in this way should contact Student Fees with a contact name, telephone number and email address of the sponsor organisation to ensure invoices are paid promptly.

1. Payment of IFP tuition fee deposit

Payment of IFP tuition fee deposit If you wish to accept your offer of a place on the International Foundation Programme, you need to secure this by paying a deposit of 1,000 in sterling currency towards your tuition fee for the International Foundation Programme. The deposit will be set against your tuition fee when you enrol. Instructions for payment are given in Sections 2 and 3 below. Deposits are non-transferrable and they are non-refundable except in the circumstances outlined in our Admissions Policy, found on the following link: www.rhul.ac.uk/studyhere/undergraduate/applying/ admissionspolicy.aspx#deposits All requests for deposit refunds need to be submitted no later than 30 days after the official start date of your course. The balance of your tuition fee must be paid no later than the 21st September 2013 for the September intake and 17th January 2014 for the January intake unless you are self-funding and choose to pay by instalments. Details of the instalment payment scheme are outlined in section 4.

Important note: You will not qualify for a deposit refund if:  Your offer from the College is withdrawn due to fraudulent documentation or false information in your application at any point in the application stage.  Your Tier 4 Visa is refused due to fraudulent documentation.  Your study plans have changed, for example you have decided to study elsewhere or are no longer planning to study abroad. 7. Insurance

It is not a specific term and condition for students to have insurance for the duration of the IFP. However, we strongly recommend that cover is taken out prior to arrival in the UK. Study Group can provide an insurance policy, please visit www.rhul.ac.uk/isc/studycare. Alternative providers are also available - please see RHUL website for further details.

Royal Holloway allows you to pay your IFP tuition fee in various ways and full details can be found on our How to pay webpage: How to pay webpage, which can be found on the following link: www.rhul.ac.uk/studyhere/undergraduate/feesandfunding/ tuitionfees/howtopay.aspx Payments can be made in the following ways: a) Online payments by debit/credit card This is the quickest way to pay your deposit and so the quickest and surest way of securing your place on the programme. When you make a payment via Campus Connect or Epay your payment record on the Student Portal will be updated the next working day. If you have not allocated your payment to any particular invoice your payment will be manually allocated in due course. There are two routes online for paying your tuition fees electronically:  Epay (9 digit student number and date of birth required) - suitable for payments by family members and others;  Campus Connect (username and password required) for students only. Telephone payment line: +44 1784 414 099 FREE Monday - Friday 9am-4pm (9 digit student number and student name required). Please note we do not accept American Express or Diners cards. b) Bank transfer If you are making your payment by bank transfer, please ensure your payment is processed by your bank at least 5 working days before your payment is due. You can check your payment has been received on your payment record on the Finance tab of Campus Connect. Please make cheques payable to RHBNC or Royal Holloway, University of London and send to: The Student Fee Office, FW143 Founders Building, Royal Holloway, University of London, Egham, Surrey, TW20 0EX, United Kingdom. Please ensure you have written your Student ID number of the reverse of the cheques and that you consider the postage time when sending a cheque for payment. Cheques/drafts must be drawn on a UK bank account in GB sterling. We do not accept Eurocheques or cheques drawn from an overseas bank. e) Cash Payment in cash can be accepted at the Cash Office on campus upon your arrival, but this option is not encouraged and we strongly recommend that you do not bring large amounts of cash onto the Royal Holloway campus.

4. Payment of tuition fees by instalments

Students who are paying their tuition fees themselves can opt to pay their fee in instalments. There is a charge for paying in instalments, which must be paid in full with the first instalment. The first instalment is always payable at, or before, enrolment; it cannot be postponed. The instalment charges and timings for payment are outlined below: IFP tuition fee: 12,765 Charge payable:  100 for two instalments, 200 for three instalments. Payment dates:  Enrolment and beginning of second term. Enrolment, beginning of second term and beginning of third term. Information on the process of paying by instalments will be provided to you once you have accepted your offer on the International foundation Programme.

Should the student be successful in progressing to a Royal Holloway, University of London Undergraduate programme, an amount equivalent to 15% of that Undergraduate programmes first years fees will be payable by the student to Bellerbys Educational Services Limited as a degree programme preparation fee. At the same time, the student will be entitled to receive a 15% discount from the University in respect of its first years fees. The student will pay the Undergraduate programme preparation fee directly through their first years university fee.

5. T  uition fee liability and withdrawals from the IFP

Students who withdraw from the IFP will normally be liable for tuition fees as follows: a) withdrawals within 3 weeks of the start of the programme will be subject to a 50 administrative charge. b) withdrawals after the end of the third week of the first term and before the end of the first week of the second term: the student is liable for 33% of the tuition fee; c) withdrawals before the end of the second term: the student is liable for 66% of the tuition fee; d) withdrawals after the end of the second term: the student is liable for 100% of the tuition fee.

6. Course deposits refund policy

Deposits are non-transferrable and they are non-refundable except in the following circumstances where:  You fail to meet the academic conditions of your conditional offer and are rejected from the course. You must provide an original transcript and degree certificate to verify your final results.  You fail to meet the English Language requirements stipulated in your offer. You must provide proof that you have taken a recognised English language test within 5 months of your course start date. If you have not previously taken an appropriate English Language test and fail to do so prior to 31 August you will not qualify for a refund.  Your Tier 4 Student Visa application has been refused. A copy of the visa refusal document must be sent to the University.  You have applied for funding from a recognised funding body for the full years tuition fees and you are unsuccessful in securing the funding necessary for your studies. Documentary proof must be provided.  The College cancels the course to which you have applied  Sympathetic consideration will be given in cases of exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness, or a death in the immediate family. Please note documentary evidence of such circumstances will need to be provided. Decisions on refunding the deposit in such cases will be made solely at the Colleges discretion. International Foundation Programme students: You will be required to pay for the airport transfer on arrival at the International Study Centre. English Language Preparation students: You will be required to pay Study Group for the airport transfer prior to you arrival and this will be included in your fees.

Once you have sent your application form to the International Admissions Centre, we will send you an Offer of a Place.
