Track 1: 3 literature courses (200 level or higher) in a single foreign/classical language, one of which may be a literature course in translation; 3 literature courses (200 level or higher) in English, Comparative Literature, Asian Studies, African and African-American Studies, or any foreign language department or program. Only one of which may be in the literaturethatisthestudentsprimaryfocus (i.e., foreign language). Track 2: ENGL 142, CMPL 143, and 4 courses in film (200 level or higher), with courses including works from 2 different national traditions and at least 1 course involving film in the studentsprimaryforeignlanguage. The two foreign language literature courses required for the major in CMPL may not also be counted as part of a minor in any of the foreign language departments.
