DO/DOES(za trede lice) + NOT+ INFINITIV GLAGOLA AM/IS(za trede lice) + NOT + PRILOG I dont like rain. You dont care about your pet its starving (umire od gladi). He doesnt speak the truth, even under the oath (pod zakletvom). I am not mad at you, but I dont want to see you either. He`s not home right now. Kada koristimo ovo vreme? 1. Habitual actions (ustaljene radnje): I usually get up at 7 o`clock. We always tell the truth. 2. Future formal arrangement or official announcements (bududi formalni dogovori i zvanina obavetenja): The train arrives at 9 p.m. My plane lands at 6:30 exactly. 4. Facts and permanent states (injenice I trajna stanja): Nikola works in Paneleven. I live in Belgrade. 5. Proverbs and sayings (poslovice i izreke): An apple a day keeps the doctor away. 6. Instructions (uputstva): First you put the ink in the pen. When you get to the first crossroad, turn left. 7. Sport commentaries (sportski komentari): Djokovic moves up to the net! He turns around to avoid Jordan and he scores.

AM/ARE/IS + NOT + GLAGOL SA NASTAVKOM ING I am not staying with you. You aren`t trying to impress your girlfriend. He isn`t paying for the ticket. Kada koristimo ovo vreme? 1. An action happening at the moment of speaking (radnja koja se deava u trenutku govora o njoj): I am reading an example now.

A repeated action (with always and forever), when we are irritated, nervous, annoyed (radnja koja se ponavlja (sa always I forever), kada smo iznervirani, nervozni): You are always acting so silly! He is always blaming others for his mistakes. Polite questions (pristojna pitanja): I am wondering if you could help me. Past Simple Tense

Was he happy when he saw you? Were there any differences between us? Odrini oblik SUBJEKAT + DID + NOT + INFINITIV GLAGOLA SUBJEKAT + WAS/WERE + NOT + PRILOG I didn`t sleep three days. You didn`t stay out all night. He didn`t cross the street. He wasnt happy when he saw me. There weren`t any differences between us. Kada koristimo ovo vreme? 1. An action, event or situation that was finished in the past (radnja, dogaaj ili situacija zavrena u prolosti): Columbus discovered America in 1492. I finished my high school in 2013. 2. A habitual action in the past (ustaljena radnja u prolosti): I used to cut my hair myself. He studied a lot when he was student. 3. A few past actions which happened one after another in the story (nekoliko radnji koje su se dogodile jedna za drugom u prii): He came in, called her name, waited for her for five minutes and she didn`t show up. Kada koristimo ovo vreme? 1. A past action that was in progress for a period of time (prola radnja koja se dogaala u odreenom vremenskom periodu): You were studying English all day yesterday. He was laughing, honestly humored. 2. A past action that was in progress in a specific time (prola radnja koja se dogaala u tano odreeno vreme): She was having dinner at 6 o`clock yesterday. He was lying her the whole time. 3. Two parallel actions, with while/as (dve paralelne radnje, sa while/as): I was singing while they were dancing. She was listening to music while it was playing. 4. A past action which was interrupted by another past action (prola radnja koju je prekinula druga prola radnja): She was sitting when he entered the room. I was trying to concentrate on the book when the phone rang. NB Kraa radnja, koja je uvek u Past Simple-u, prekida duu, koja je u Past Continuous-u 5.
