First-Year Player Draft.
Native of Lander, British Columbia...attended Delta Secondary School where he helped win BCs Best Tournament
Championship as a junior and senior.
Pitched for the University of Kentucky, 2007-09...was 11-5
with a 4.91 ERA (81 ER, 148.1 IP) and 168 strikeouts in 55
G/24 GS for the Wildcats.
Originally selected by Toronto in the supplemental first
round (39th overall) in the 2009 First-Year Player Draft, but
did not sign.
Went 1-2 with a 4.08 ERA (8 ER, 17.2 IP) in 4 starts with
Grand Praire in the Independent League in 2010.
Went 6-3, 2.37 ERA (25 ER, 95.0 IP) in 17 starts in his first
professional season in 2011 combined between A Clinton and AA Jackson.
Pitched for the World squad in the 2011 MLB Futures Game...also named to
Midwest League All-Star team in 2011.
Pitched for the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League following the 2012
season (1-1, 5.68, 5 GS, 16 K).
