Where does our Ideas come from? Education in the real sense of the word meant to pull something out of someone and not to stuff them with information. In order to be educative, things have to ask questions and open a space within. The logical consequence for me is to raise questions and not to give answers. More generaly speaking, Im mostly concerned with issues of time and space. Especially how our perception of time and space can be manipulated, distorted or extended. Im interested in the extremes of this reality: The whole spectrum of our perception and also the abstract concepts, that are incomprehensible by our senses. I try to make no difference between these two. Therfore a work can shift between pure mathematics, esoteric ideas and total subjectivity. A work can beginn with a conceptual or materialistic approach. As long as it has the possibilty to suprise, it is useful. In this sense everything is a constant interaction between logic and intuition, the digital world in our heads and the material world around us, the left side of the brain and the right one. The Ideal is to overcome these dualities. Connected to this question, Im interested in the things, which cant be perceived or are already declared dead. That which is at the very beginning or at the very end of a process of nature. I can see nothing but possibilties in the space inbetween. Everything is just a moment in time and space. In order to get in the full depth of a certain situation I reduce things to get a clear image of what I want. To get something that can be viewed from a subjective and an objectiv point of view all the time. Walking on the edge of ones perception and transform experience in a language not yet spoken.
