Work in close collaboration with and report to the Field Coordinator on a regular basis. Effectively manage and ensure data collection validity, authenticity and completeness of coverage. Ensure that international and standard ethics applicable to data collection/research are adhered to by the Interviewers. Ensure at all times that data integrity and confidentiality is maintained as per defined policies. Ensure compliance to the guidelines and instructions provided in the Data Validation Guidelines and through trainings. Develop a complete understanding of the objectives and purpose of data collection and ensure that the correct and intended objectives are duly shared with the respondents. Develop complete understanding of household interviewing process as per the defined method. In close coordination with the FTS, be responsible for the validity, accuracy, completeness and reliability of the data collected. Ensure that forced/terminated data entry was only done for valid reasons and that such reasons are properly documented. Evaluate the reasons for data entry problems and recommend corrective measures for facilitate recollection of any data that is found to be inaccurate, incomplete or unreliable. Guide the HH Interviewers on the correct methods of data collection as provided in the instruction manuals and explained in the trainings. Regularly compare and deliberate the results of the validation processes with colleagues and FTS to discuss ways to improve the

survey implementation and accuracy of data collection. In the event of identification of such improvement aspects ensure that the information reaches the Technical Experts through the Field Coordinators/Project Manager.

Maintain contact with other Data Validator, Field Team Supervisors and the Field Coordinator on a daily basis to inform of any security concerns, problems in the field of any kind, and progress made. Take complete responsibility for timely data download from Interviewer laptops and upload to the central server. Ensure that the Data Validation and Data Synchronization Application is fully functional at all times and that any problems with the application, hardware or process are promptly reported to the Technical Experts. Ensure that any guidelines provided by the technical experts/project manager for enhanced data validation are followed. Monitor the HH Interviewing process on the spot from time to time to assess the method of data collection, without interfering or disturbing the interviewing process. Report any regular inconsistencies whether relating to the data, the data collection process or any particular HH Interviewer/Field Team Supervisor directly to the Field Coordinators, Project Manager and Technical Experts, as soon as possible. Take complete responsibility of transferring/downloading household listings and any software updates to the laptops of the interviewers. Through this process facilitate interviewing schedules/work plans together with the Field Team Supervisor. Ensure that the assigned data collection devices (laptops and GPS devices) are used responsibly and ensure that the devices are not damaged/lost due to misuse or negligence. Ensure that security guidelines are followed strictly and responsibly and ensure the safety and security of self and team members at all times. Abandon the interview process in case of security threats and report to the Field Coordinator immediately.
