Textures no4 Duration: 10:03

About The Piece Textures no4 Both the photo symmetric structure and its title Superposition of two opposite twisting light modes inspired the musical form: This is a palindrome for two harps, that is to say, that the initial score can be equally read from the beginning to the end or from the end to the beginning, with an axis of symmetry in the middle. Thereafter, I manipulated the sound material using a computer program that allowed me to express with sounds the chromatic concentric expansion of the photographed object.

About The Piece Textures no8 The photograph Atomlaser has got not only a scientific content -sadly I cannot appreciate-, but also an artistic and suggestive value that most of the people can enjoy. This project shows us that scientific research, apart from improving our everyday existence, can also be appreciated from an artistic perspective. In the picture Atomlaser we can see an item which is trying to emerge from the surface. This dynamic element gradually acquires a hot color and contrasts with the cool blue of the rest of the rough surface. My music focuses on this emerging dynamic item, a single sound that changes its color and energy to stand out from the rest.

About The Piece Textures no10 This small musical work is the result of an audio research inspired by the rhythm, chromatic structure and texture of the photograph Etched structure. High technology has been used to develop the photograph. Likewise, synthesizers and computers are the instruments of my composition. It is an almost monochrome photograph but with rich hues; Its composition is austere: We can observe independent well shaped circles which do not touch the others. The music is also minimalist, with few artifices. The phrasing suggests those Gregorian ascetic melodic lines which can lead us to a mystical world.
