A computer game was originally made for entertainment purposes only. The computer on the early stages did not have the technology of todays computer games. Not every household had a computer and computers were only available on universities and major companies. With the introduction of home computers, playing games on computers changed dramatically. Now, computers not only promote entertainment but skill. Games are created in different categories like strategic, adventure, action, racing and many more. Take of example strategic games, how decisions the player makes influences on how the game starts and ends. When decision is made, the player should see the outcome of that decision making decision and effect more balanced. This helps the player in real life as well, by teaching the player how to balance their own life and reach their goals. Other games are developed the mind of people and to sharpen their senses. Computer games also help them make quick decisions. Some games help people to think outside the box and be creative. Through the years there is one important thing that a computer has not failed to do, to entertain millions of users around the world.

There are also downsides on computers games as well. There are games that are too violent and do not help teach young minds and to relax in any way. With this, the player or parents or guardians are expected to select proper games to play.
