When other is used as an adjective , it cannot have plural form.

Others is only used as a pronoun, to mean other ones or other
people.
Compare:

Some metals are magnetic and others aren’t.
Can you tell the others that I’ll be late?
ANOTHER can be used in the sense of ‘an additional’, ‘an extra’.
Can I have another pint of beer, please?
Another can also be used in this way before a plural expression
beginning with a number or few.
