Indigo

History
Indigo was formed in 2009 by the coming together of three companies - Team Telecom, Hutchinson Communication Systems and Redbridge. As an off shoot of Yorkshire Electricity, Team Telecom Ltd had a long and impressive history in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of networks in the wireless and mobile markets. It provided services into the Utilities sector both in mainland UK and offshore, in addition to the emergency services. In September 2005, Hutchison Communication Systems Ltd was acquired by TTG, the telecoms division of Spice Plc. Hutchison Communication Systems was established in 1997 to service the needs of the rapidly growing telecom network industries. Initially, the company specialised in the supply of personnel to the Cable Television and Fibre Optic industries, however, the range of services soon increased to cover cable installation, structured cabling, Data/IP, PDH/SDH & DWDM testing. In November 2007, Redbridge was added to the Group to further strengthen the NOC and first line maintenance (FLM) services in the UK. Redbridges heritage was in large scale carrier/service provider deployments and FLM, designing, implementing and maintaining some of the largest call centre based telephone systems in the UK. These skills complement existing skills in the Group to put the Indigo Telecom Group in a unique position of delivering high value, mission critical services to both the telco and enterprise market sectors.
