TUGAS ABSTRAK ENGLISH FOR PHYSICS

OLD ABSTRACT ABSTRACT The observations were conducted by researcher at SMA N 1 Sei Rampah by giving questionnaire to 37 students and interview with a physics teacher of class XI is the less of an active role of students in the teaching-learning process in the classroom, relationships of interstudents within the group are poorly, students assume physics is a difficult subject, unattractive and boring, and the teacher never used the learning model. This research aims to determine the students' learning activities and learning outcomes of students during the learning process by implementing cooperative learning with TPS and NHT types in class XI science in the subject of kinematics with vector analysis. Type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subjects in this research were students of class XI IPA-1 SMA N 1 Sei Rampah and which is the object of this research is the student learning outcomes. The instrument used is a multiple choice test which amounts to 20 items with 5 options and observation sheet student learning activities and the activities of teachers during the learning process by implementing cooperative learning with TPS and NHT types. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The result showed that the learning activities of students during the learning process place showed better improvement, it can be seen from the increase in the average value of student activity for each cycle. Thus the implementation of cooperative learning with TPS and NHT types can be increase of students' learning activities and learning outcomes of students in the subject of kinematics with vector analysis in class XI Science SMA N 1 Sei Rampah TP 2008/2009.
