If you purchased this Router to share your high-speed Internet connection with other computers, you must have an established Internet account from an Internet Service Provider (ISP). Its best to use the same computer that is connected to your router for configuring the DSL-G604T Wireless ADSL Router. The DSL-G604T acts as a DHCP server and will assign all the necessary IP address information on your network. See at the Quick Installation Guide or the Manual on the CD-ROM for setting each network adapter to automatically obtain an IP address.

A. First, connect the power adapter to the power input at the back panel of the DSL-G604T and then plug the other end of the power adapter to a wall outlet or power strip. On the front of the device, the Power LED will turn ON to indicate proper operation. B. Insert one end of the Ethernet cable into an Ethernet (LAN) port on the back panel of the DSL-G604T and the other end of the cable to an Ethernet Adapter or available Ethernet port on your computer. C. Insert the telephone cable included with the Router into the ADSL port, then connect the cable to your telephone line. D. Check the LED display on the front of the Router to confirm that the connections have been made.

Configure IP Settings
To connect to the network, make sure the network adapter in your computer is configured properly. Heres how to configure the network adapter to obtain an IP address automatically for the DSL-G604T Wireless ADSL Router.
For Microsoft Windows XP
Go to Start > select Settings > click Control Panel > Double-click on the Network Connections icon
Double-click on Network Connections
Right-click the Local Area Connection icon, and then select Properties.
Select Properties
The dialog box displays with a list of currently installed network items.
Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Click Properties
Make the choice to get IP settings assigned automatically.
Select Obtain an IP address automatically
Click OK

Connecting Additional Computers To The DSL-G604T Wireless ADSL Router

Using additional Ethernet (CAT5 UTP) cables, connect your Ethernetequipped computers to the LAN ports on the back panel of the DSLG604T. When you have completed the steps in this Quick Installation Guide, your connected network should look similar to this:

Open your Web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the URL address box. Press Enter or Return.
The Home/Login page appears.

When you first log in, your Login Name is admin; your password is also admin. These may be changed later.

Configuring the WAN Connection

Check your ISP information, If you configure for PPPoA type, refer to Manual page 25-27. If you configure for PPPoE type, refer to Manual page 27-28. If you configure for Bridge type, refer to Manual page 29-30. If you configure for DHCP type, refer to Manual page 32-33. If you configure for CLIP type, refer to Manual page 33-34.
In the Connection 1 window, type the Username and Password used to verify the identity of your ISP account. Click the Apply button when you have entered the information.
Enter the Username and Password assigned by your ISP. Click Apply
Configure Connection 1 for PPPoA

To configure the default connection type (PPPoA) for Connection 1, follow the steps listed below. To change the connection type of Connection 1 to an alternative type follow the instructions according to the desired type as described below in change the connection type.

For first-time setup, accept the default settings for SSID and Channel, and bypass security by clicking None. These settings may be changed later by following instructions as given in the Users Guide.
Important Note: This Quick Installation Guide is designed to allow a firsttime user to install and operate the Router easily, in order to ensure that everything is in working order. For more advanced configuration settings, particularly to do with security parameters, please consult the Users Guide that accompanies the Router.

Il est conseill dutiliser lordinateur connect votre routeur pour configurer le routeur ADSL sans fil DSL-G604T. Le DSL-G604T se comporte comme un serveur DHCP et affecte toutes les informations dadresse IP ncessaires sur votre rseau. Pour configurer chaque adaptateur rseau de manire obtenir automatiquement une adresse IP, consultez le Guide dinstallation rapide ou le Manuel figurant sur le CDROM.

A. Commencez par connecter ladaptateur dalimentation lentre courant situe sur le panneau arrire du DSL-G604T, puis branchez lautre extrmit de ladaptateur dalimentation dans une prise murale ou une nourrice. Sur lavant du routeur, le voyant dalimentation sallume pour indiquer ltat de marche. B. Introduisez une extrmit du cble dans lun des ports Ethernet (rseau local) du panneau arrire du DSL-G604T, puis lautre extrmit dans un adaptateur Ethernet ou lun des ports Ethernet disponibles de votre ordinateur. C. Introduisez le cble tlphonique livr avec le routeur dans le port ADSL, puis branchez le cble sur votre ligne tlphonique. D. Vrifiez les voyants situs lavant du routeur pour tre s r que vous avez effectu tous vos branchements correctement.

Configuration des paramtres IP

Pour vous connecter au rseau, assurez-vous que ladaptateur rseau de votre ordinateur est configur correctement. La procdure ci-dessous vous indique comment configurer ladaptateur rseau pour obtenir automatiquement une adresse IP pour le routeur ADSL sans fil DSL-G604T.

Pour configurer la connexion rseau tendu pour CLIP, suivez la procdure dcrite ci-dessous. Certains paramtres nont pas besoin d tre modifis lors de la premire installation du routeur. Vous pouvez les modifier par la suite, si vous le souhaitez.
Cliquez sur le bouton Connexion 1 pour visualiser le menu Configuration de connexion CLIP reprsent ici. Slectionnez CLIP dans Type, VPI: et VCI: - si ces valeurs sont faussez, changez-les en fonction des indications de votre FAI. Saisissez lAdresse IP et le Serveur ARP, ainsi que la Passerelle par dfaut. Modifiez-les en fonction des indications de votre FAI. Cliquez sur le bouton Appliquer aprs avoir saisi les informations relatives votre compte.

Si ha adquirido este router para compartir la conexin de alta velocidad a internet con otros ordenadores, debe disponer de una cuenta internet con un proveedor de servicios internet (ISP). Para configurar el router inal mbrico ADSL DSL-G604T, se recomienda utilizar el mismo ordenador que se encuentra conectado al router. El DSL-G604T funciona como un servidor DHCP y, por tanto, asignara la red toda la informacin necesaria sobre la direccin IP. Si se desea m s informacin sobre cmo configurar el adaptador de red de forma que obtenga autom ticamente una direccin, consulte la Gu a r pida de instalaci n o el Manual que se encuentra en el CD-ROM.

A. Conecte un extremo del adaptador de alimentacin a la entrada de alimentacin que se encuentra en el panel trasero del DSLG604T, y el otro extremo en una base de pared o regleta de alimentacin. En el panel frontal del dispositivo, el LED de alimentacin se pondren ON para indicar que la operacin se ha realizado correctamente. B. Introduzca un extremo del cable en un puerto Ethernet (LAN) del panel trasero del DSL-G604T, y el otro extremo en un adaptador Ethernet o puerto Ethernet disponible en el ordenador. C. Conecte el cable telefnico, incluido con el router, al puerto ADSL y a la l nea telefnica. D. Verifique que el LED del panel frontal del router indica que las conexiones se han realizado.

Antes de conectarse a la red, compruebe que el adaptador de red del ordenador est correctamente configurado. A continuaci n se indica c mo configurar el adaptador de red para que obtenga automticamente una direcci n IP para el router inalmbrico ADSL DSL-G604T.

Compruebe la informaci n del ISP: Si el tipo es PPPoA, consulte las pginas 25-27 del Manual. Si el tipo es PPPoE, consulte las pginas 27-28 del Manual. Si el tipo es Bridge, consulte las pginas 29-30 del Manual. Si el tipo es DHCP, consulte las pginas 32-33 del Manual. Si el tipo es CLIP, consulte las pginas 33-34 del Manual.
En la ventana Connection 1, escriba el nombre de usuario (Username) y la clave de acceso (Password) que permiten verificar la identidad de la cuenta ISP. Tras haber introducido estos datos, haga clic en el botn Apply.
Introduzca el Username y el Password asignados por el ISP.
Haga clic en Apply
Configuraci n de Connection 1 para PPPoA

Para configurar el tipo de conexin por defecto (PPPoA) como Connection 1, siga los pasos que figuran a continuacin. Para cambiar el tipo de conexin de Connection 1 por otro tipo, siga las instrucciones correspondientes al tipo que se desee, como se describe m s adelante.

Se si intende utilizzare il Router per condividere con altri computer una connessione a Internet ad alta velocit, necessario disporre di un account fornito da un Internet Service Provider (ISP). Per la configurazione del router wireless DSL-G604T, si consiglia di utilizzare il computer collegato al dispositivo stesso. Il router DSL-G604T funge da server DHCP e assegna automaticamente i parametri IP ai sistemi della rete. Consultare il manuale rapido dinstallazione o il manuale utente contenuto nel CD-ROM per configurare gli adattatori di rete in modo che ottengano automaticamente un indirizzo IP.

A. Connettere il trasformatore al relativo connettore posto sul pannello posteriore del dispositivo DSL-G604T e alla presa di corrente. IL LED Power sul pannello frontale del dispositivo si accende per indicare il corretto funzionamento. B. Inserire le due estremit di un cavo Ethernet rispettivamente nella porta LAN posta sul pannello posteriore del dispositivo DSL-G604T e nelladattatore o nella porta Ethernet del computer. C. Collegare il cavo telefonico fornito con il Router alla porta ADSL e alla linea telefonica. D. Utilizzare il display dei LED posto sul pannello frontale del dispositivo per verificare che le connessioni siano state eseguite correttamente.

Configurazione delle impostazioni IP

Per instaurare una connessione di rete, necessario verificare che ladattatore di rete del computer sia configurato correttamente. In seguito viene descritta la procedura per configurare ladattatore in modo che riceva automaticamente un indirizzo IP dal router wireless ADSL DSL-G604T.
