Upgradation of 66KV S/S Model Town, Ludhiana to 220KV. Your Office Endst.No.466/67 dated 26-12-2012. In this connection, it is written that it is not possible to enter one more 220 KV

line to 220KV Sub Station Ferozepur Road Ludhiana.

This is because there was very

serious right of way constraint when first 220KV DC line was entered at this Sub Station. The requirement of upgradation of 66KV Sub Station Model Town Ludhiana to 220KV is very much felt. So some other alternative may please be thought.

Damage of 100 MVA 220/66KV Power Transformer Make BHEL Sr. No.2010800, at 220KV S/Stn. Sunam. This Office U.O. No.4033 dated 12-9-2012.

In continuation to the letter under reference, it is requested that a copy of memo no.3910 dated 23-11-2012 of M/s. BHEL addressed to Dy. Chief Engineer/TS Design PSTCL Patiala has been received by this office. At a glance it looks that charges are very high for inspection, supervision, transportation up and down of the Transformer. The repair charges shall be separate as assessed after the opening and inspection. The Transformer is 1998 model. Its top core is already sparked at four points and melted at one point. Some winding of the Transformer is suspected to be damaged and Mr. Sham Lal of M/s. BHEL has also said the same thing. It is recommended that the Transformer should be surveyed off.
