1. Course Behavioral Objective:

On completion of this course, the students will be able to: 1.1 Describe evolution, principles,roles and responsibilities of mother and infant; 1.2 Describe principles of premarital counseling and genetic disorders; 1.3 Describe principles of family planning and advise appropriate contraceptive or birth control methods for couples; 1.4 Describe principles of nursing support for infertile couples; 1.5 Assess problems, needs and state principles of antenatal care; 1.6 Implement appropriate nursing care management to pregnancy discomforts.
2. Objective of Course Development or Course Improvement: To understand the course wholeheartedly and implement the nursing care management to every clinical scenarios. Section 3: CourseDescription and Implementation 1. Course Description Evolution, concepts and theories related to mother and infant, nursing therapeutics for mother and infant, the roles and responsibilities of the professional nurse in premarital counseling, family planning, infertile condition and antenatal care using the nursing process with emphasis on caring and family participation, within legal limitations and professional codes of ethics, in order to maintain, promote and protect the physical, social and spiritual health of individuals, group, families and communities. 2. 1. Evaluation Strategies of Course Effectiveness by Students Students will evaluate the questionnaires about the course content and method of teaching at the end of the semester. 2. Teaching Evaluation Strategies Students will evaluate the instructors knowledge, teaching styles, methods and techniques using the questionnaires at the end of the semester. 3. Teaching Improvement Training programs for instructors are provided every semester to respond the need and improvement of teaching strategies. 4. Verification of Standards of Students Achievement in this Course Audit committees in the areas of assessment of student learning (score/grade) with the project tests and ratings of student behavior. 5. Review and Improvement Plan for the Effectiveness of the Course The course will be reviewed based on the data gathered from the students evaluation and the percentage of students who passed or failed the course at the end of the semester.
