The following options are available to you. 1. SLIIT - BSc (Hons) in Information Technology (Specialization in Information Technology) 2. SLIIT - BSc (Hons) in Information Technology (Specialization in Software Engineering) 3. Curtin BSc in Information Technology 4. Curtin BSc in Software Engineering 5. SHU BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering/BSc (Hons) in Information Technology Look back at how you did in your 2nd year ITP project. If you genuinely feel that a software engineering job is the career for you, then the specialization in Software Engineering is appropriate. If you want to keep your career options more open the Information Technology specialization is more appropriate. If you look at the modules being covered you will notice that the Software Engineering specialization focuses mainly on modules related to software development where as a diverse set of modules are offered in the Information Technology Specialization. Some of you might also want to follow the Curtin degree program here at SLIIT. The main advantage here is that you can complete your degree in the third year and also get the opportunity to get a foreign degree. It is possible for you to transfer to the respective SLIIT (Hons) degrees later in the 4th year. Students who wish to transfer to SHU can do either SLIIT specializations in the third year semester 1. It is not a requirement for you to follow the SLIIT Software Engineering Specialization to complete the SHU BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering.
