DAVID FORTNEY, date of birthL Jwas

interviewed at his place of employment, Miami. After being
advised of the identity of the interviewing agent and the natqre
of the interview, FORTNEY provided the following information:

FORTNEY has owned a Piper Fixed Wing Single Engine

aircraft, N#8330U, since February 2001. FORTNEY bought the
aircraft from JOHN MALONEY and subsequently sublet the plane to
the FLORIDA FLIGHT TRAINING CENTER FFTC for pilot training.
FORTNEY stated he was a close associate of ARNE KRUITHOF, owner
of FFTC, and advised that both men do not have a formalized
written rental contract between them. FORTNEY stated KRUITHOF
paid FORTNEY on a regular schedule for the rental of his plane.
FORTNEY characterized his relationship with KRUITHOF as close and
friendly. \Y indicated he occasionally visited KRUITHOFiat

FFTC and saw some of the students, but did not meet any of them.
FORTNEY was shown a color photograph of J(\t£) FARRAH afid stated
that he did not recall meeting with or dealing with FARRAH. In \, FORTNEY stated he did not know of anyone involved wi

the World Trade Center/Pentagon bombings or associate with anyone

who had information about the bombings. ;

FORTNEY provided records pertaining to maintenance and

airframe logs, as well as, aircraft operations manual for his
aircraft. FORTNEY did not have records related to actual FFTC
school manifests, student flight logs or any significant \n identifying individuals who flew the aircraft. ;
