A Scientific Laboratory 170 Feet High in the Sky Summary (150 to 300 words) The National Ecological Observatory Network through their researchers and thanks to its state-of-the-art instruments will collect valuable information about the environment and soil conditions, and also flora and fauna from different types of ecosystems, the most revolutionary idea is they will share the data gathered with the community through the Internet. This unique and big-scale project will take place across whole U.S, the main purpose is trying to understand how the environment works. The due date to start this project is in 2017 and it will take at least 30 years without any stop. On the other hand, The Conservation Biology Institute will gather information about the conditions of Posey Hollows forest so in near future have a better understanding of the role that forests play in climate changes and how forests are affected by particular factors. In summary, those two interesting projects will provide a real big picture of U.S nationwide environment and also anyone could have access to the data gathered.

Personal Opinion (Min. 50 words for 150-word summaries | Min. 100 words for 300-word summaries) In my opinion, the management and investment required for such a tremendous project is huge, conclusive proof of that is there is no one who has tried to do similar things. The researchers who will be in charge of this challenging idea will have on their hands very useful information so they can understand how nature works and give more great solutions to the big problem we are passing through. I believe researchers all over the world should be working all together as a team but working on their own countries, then gather the data collected from each country so the whole scientific community has a real big picture of the nature of Earth and finally bring up real and interesting solutions. In summary, the Peruvian scientific community, as a part of worldwide scientific community, should start thinking, at least, in using high technology in small areas to gather information, process, conclude and finally bring up a brain storm of solutions.
