A] Project Description/Definition :

The main aim the project is to design MEMS

Accelerometer Based Nonspecific-User Hand gesture Recognition.

B] Present Theories and Practice used/Literature Survey: (With citation)

In the existing method the PC is controlled by either wired mouse or wireless mouse for selecting or controlling the PC by holding the mouse in hands and the range of controlling will be in less.

C] Scope:

Low cost, easy to use for rural areas, automated operation, and Low Power consumption. Used as a mouse.
D] Objectives: The main aim of this project is to design of low cost

intelligent wheel chair. This chair is designed for physically disabled persons.

It designed to control devices and to ask others their minimum basic needs like water, food etc.

F] Implementation Details:

The proposed method designs a wireless mouse by using RF technology which controls the PC with hand gestures (movements of hand). This is an low cost wireless technology which is very is to operate or control the PC. The controller used at the hand ARM7 is used and controller connected to PC 8051 is used. The system uses a compact circuitry built around LPC2148 (ARM7)/ 8051 microcontroller Programs are developed in Embedded C. Flash magic is used for loading programs into Microcontroller.

G] System Requirements: 1] Hardware: LPC2148 (ARM7). 2] Software: Embedded C H] Conclusion: This is a low cost, easy to use for rural areas, automated

operation, and Low Power consumption.

Title: Intelligent Wheelchair.

Abstract: The main aim of this project is to design of low cost intelligent wheel chair. This chair is designed for physically disabled persons. It designed to control devices and to ask others their minimum basic needs like water, food etc. wheel chair movement is controlled by using MEMS sensor which attached to their hands; based on hand movement the direction wheel chair is changed. If the hand moves towards right wheel chair moves right direction if hand moves towards left it moves towards left. The movement of wheel chair is done by using motors connected to controller through driver IC. To wheel chair two modes (Mode0, Mode1) particular mode can be selected by using push button. Keys are used to control the devices when it is one mode and in same way same keys are used to tell his basic requirements through voice using APR9600 voice IC. Devices are connected to controller through relays. The communication between wheel chair and devices controlling board is done by using RF technology. If RF communication is used we require RF transmitter connected to wheel chair and RF receiver connected to devices to control. The system uses a compact circuitry built around LCP2148/AT89S52 microcontroller Programs are developed in Embedded C. Flash magic is used for loading programs into Microcontroller.
