PLYWOOD

Plywood was the first engineered wood product to be invented. Engineered wood now comes in a variety of forms and is manufactured by binding together wood particles, fibres, or sheets with strong glues. Plywood is made from thin sheets of wood, called plies, which are stacked together at right angles to each other and then bonded under heat and pressure. It is generally used in furniture manufacture, construction, boat building, flooring, panelling and concrete formwork because it is stronger and less likely to crack, shrink, twist or warp than natural wood.

proportional to the dimensions of the house. A well-chosen baseboard is the base upon which the architectural finishing of the house is determined.

WINDOW SHUTTER
A window shutter is a solid and stable window covering usually consisting of a frame of vertical stiles and horizontal rails (top, centre and bottom). Set within this frame can be louvers (both operable or fixed, horizontal or vertical), solid panels, fabric, glass and most any other item that can be mounted within a frame. Shutters may be employed for a variety of reasons, including controlling the amount of sunlight that enters a room, to provide privacy, to protect against weather and to enhance the aesthetics of a building.

WOOD FLOORING
Wood flooring is any product manufactured from timber that is designed for use as flooring, either structural or aesthetic.Wood is a common choice as a flooring material due to its elasticity and flexibility.[citation needed]Solid wood can be cut in three styles: flat-sawn, quarter-sawn, and rift-sawn. However, because only one side of the wood is visible on flooring, "quarter-sawn" and "rift-sawn" will have the same appearance. Many solid woods come with "absorption strips" - grooves cut into the back of the wood that run the length of each plank. They are used to reduce cupping.

Laminated veneer lumber (LVL)

is an engineered wood product that uses multiple layers of thin wood assembled with adhesives. It offers several advantages over typical milled lumber: it is stronger, straighter, and more uniform. It is much less likely than conventional lumber to warp, twist, bow, or shrink due to its composite nature. Made in a factory under controlled specifications, LVL products allow users to reduce the onsite labor. They are typically used for headers, beams, rimboard, and edge-forming material.

DOORS
A door is a movable structure used to open and close off an entrance, typically consisting of a panel that swings on hinges or that slides or spins inside a space.

I-BEAMS
I-Beam theory shows that the I-shaped section is a very efficient form for carrying both bending and shear loads in the plane of the web. On the other hand, the cross-section has a reduced capacity in the transverse direction, and is also inefficient in carrying torsion, for which hollow structural sections are often preferred.I-beams engineered from wood with fiberboard and/or laminated veneer lumber are also becoming increasingly popular in construction, especially residential, as they are both lighter and less prone to warping than solid wooden joists. However there has been some concern as to their rapid loss of strength in a fire if unprotected

Finger-Jointed Lumber
A finger joint or comb joint is a woodworking joint made by cutting a set of complementary rectangular cuts in two pieces of wood, which are then glued. To visualize a finger joint simply interlock the fingers of your hands at a ninety degree angle; hence the name "finger joint." It is stronger than a butt or lap joint, and often contributes to the aesthetics of the piece.

The purpose of baseboard molding is to finish in the region

where the wall meets the floor. It is best to select the baseboard that is

TRELLIS

A trellis is an architectural structure, usually made from interwoven pieces of wood, bamboo or metal that is often made to support climbing plants. There are many types of trellis for different places and for different plants, such as sweet peas, grapevines, ivy, and climbing roses or other support based growing plants.
