What does it mean to Love God- hate

Repentance is understanding the wickedness of your sin and how it separates you from God. It
produces a true godly sorrow and regret for past sins, but just as important a heart determined
to forsake all future sin. As you cry out to God for mercy and forgiveness, you totally yield
your life to Him. You forsake, let go, die to your old life and take on the nature of Christ. You
hate sin in your life just as God hates sin.

There is a fundamental difference between a Christian and an unbeliever. The Christian lives
to Glorify God, the sinner rejects God's claim on his life and lives to please himself.

Coming to Christ is leaving of all false confidences and renouncing all love to sin - looking to

Those that perish will do so as a result of their own rebellion toward God in not repenting.
They will be rejecting God’s mercy and grace which is freely given yet totally undeserved.
God sent His Son to die for us and deliver us from our sins. Jesus laid His life down willingly
in perfect obedience to the Father’s will. It was sufficient! If this is not precious to you then
you are far gone. We must lay our lives down in obedience to
Jesus’ will!
Those that truly repent will find mercy and grace. Psalms 86:5, “For thou, Lord, art good, and
ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.” Psalms 86:15,
“But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in

8 Luke 15:17-18, “And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my
father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my
father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am
no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

The once prideful and arrogant son is now humbled. He sees his need and God’s provision to
meet that need. He sees what separates him from God. He decides to repent - to confess his
sin to God, ask forgiveness, and turn from his way and seek God’s righteousness as a true
servant. God’s response to a repentant sinner: Luke 15:20, “And he arose, and
came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had
compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.” God loves you!
Luke 15:21-24, “And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy
sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his servants, Bring
forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And
bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was
dead, and is alive again; he was lost , and is found . And they began to be merry.”

Jesus said the men of Nineveh would rise up in judgment against this

Following God means that you are willing to adhere to all of His Word (Bible), not just the
parts that are appealing or do not require sacrifice on your part (the positive gospel where God
does everything for you). Are you willing to yield your comfort zones to God? Abraham was
willing to sacrifice (kill) his precious son. Noah spent 120 years building an ark. Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into a fiery furnace, David faced Goliath. Faith

and instructed. What is this item? - The television. Many also rent

adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife,
seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, lying, homosexuality,
covetousness, maliciousness, deceit, insolence, rebellion, disobedience to parents, gambling,
spite, pride/arrogance, wickedness, gossip, boasting, blasphemy, false accusers, incontinence,
unthankfulness, gluttony, mischief, scheming, selfishness, traitors, unmerciful, lovers of selves,
false religion, cruelty, greed, bribery – I think you get the idea. Destroyer of Souls
It’s hard to believe, but…Most professed Christians (so-called) view, as a
source of enjoyment, the very sins that nailed Christ upon the cross. These same ones claim to
know him! No wonder Jesus said that many would call him “Lord” and yet not enter into
heaven (Matthew 7:21-23). None of these will be able to tell God they “struggle” with lust and
they try not to lust but cannot help it – Not when they sit in front of the TV. How foolish to
watch lustful things and then think you struggle with sin in your life. Resisting sin?

The TV mocks everything sacred and holy in God’s Word. At a minimum it takes precious

wickedness to the extent that victory over sin in your life may be impossible.

30 Real and the False: You probably noted on the previous page that God’s prophets have
always been persecuted. The mark of a true messenger/teacher (Prophet) – assuming their
message lines up with the Word of God – has always been rebuke, rejection and unpopularity.

Most are comfortable with a form of godliness:
John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
Have you truly been freed from the love of sin? Do you fight it daily? Do you seek to yield all
areas of your life to God – forsaking all? Do you still rebel to control your own way or cherish
certain idols? Jesus came to free you from that and reconcile you with the Father.
34 What About Grace? Hebrews 4:16, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
