SCOPE AND GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS The works covered in this contract area as follow:i) Demolition of existing buildings and structures along the alignment of the proposed drains and area of works and remove all associated services, clear the site from all debris and cart away to Contractor's own dumping ground. Supply and install precast box culverts Construct sumps, drains and all ancillaries works Associated mechanical and electrical works as specified Associated external works as specified in the drawings SEN

The Contractor shall be deemed to have visited the site of the works and have thoroughly acquainted himself with the location, access, facilities and existing site conditions. It is the Contractor's liability in making good to incidental damages done to existing works arising from the execution of his own works under this. The Contractor shall take into consideration the noise level limitation stipulated by the Local Authority in choosing the type of equipment or plant. Notwithstanding this, the Contractor shall take all necessary precaution and measures to ensure that the noise level is within the limit stipulation by the Local Authority. Where information or details of works are not available the Contractor is to assume that the missing information or details will be of a reasonable quality and workmanship in their submission of tender.

WORK TO BE EXECUTED TO ENTIRE SATISFACTION OF THE SUPERINTENDING OFFICER (S.O) All works shall be executed to the entire satisfaction of the Superintending Officer.

PRELIMINARIES

RM a. SITE The site of the proposed works is on the Government Land as shown in the Location Plan which shall form part of the Tender Drawings. The Contractor shall inspect and examine the site and its surroundings and satisfy himself as to the nature and position of, means of communication with, access to and security arrangements on the site, the extent and nature of the Works, the nature of the ground and sub-soil, the types of materials to be excavated, the material and goods necessary for completion of the Works, the facilities for placing and moving of material and plant, the accommodation he may require and in general to have acquainted himself with all matters pertaining to risks, contingencies and all circumstances affecting the executions and completion of the Works. Allow for all the above factors in the Contract Sum. Claim will not be entertained by the S.O. for any extra costs incurred by the Contractor in carrying out Works not specified herein, but the necessity for which could have been foreseen by him on inspection of the site before tendering. b. SITE CONDITIONS Immediately after taking possession of the site and before commencing works, the Contractor shall check the actual levels and dimensions against those shown on the Drawing. In the event of any discrepancy, immediately notify the S.O. and await for further instructions before proceeding. Appraise carefully all difficulties likely to be encountered due to the nature and character of the site. The Contractor shall take all precautionary measure to protect all existing tree and shall construct adequate temporary protection and/or take necessary steps to prevent trees from being damage and/ or die whenever instructed by the employer and/or S.O..

OTHER ITEMS OF EXPENDITURE The Contractor is to allow herein or elsewhere in his prices for all other works which has been specified in Spesifikasi Piawaian page A/1-A/16 and any other items he considers necessary for the successful completion of the works and which may not be specifically mentioned in the Preliminaries Section.
