WHAT IS QURIO?
The first product EDGE Campus has built is Qurio, a simple to use data gathering application. Create tests, quizzes, surveys or polls for your learners to complete on any internet-connected computer or mobile device and get the responses back immediately. Qurio works well in blended learning environments and supports Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) strategies.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF QURIO?

Qurio has 4 core benefits: Its Simple Qurio has a simple interface that allows for the easy creation of Qurios in the form of tests, quizzes, surveys and polls. Once created, Qurios can be accessed through a hyperlink or our unique Qurio Code access system that allows respondents to very easily find the relevant test, quiz or survey. Its Scalable The technology behind Qurio allows you to forget about scaling concerns normally associated with large learner groups. Whether you are interacting with 1 or 10 000 learners, Qurio automatically handles the required numbers without a break in service. Its Deployable Qurio requires no software downloads or installations and operates from within your browser. This means that you have access to the latest version of Qurio every time you use it. Data usage is low for both your respondents and yourself and cloud based technology means that we store your data and that its accessible anywhere and anytime. A wide range of devices are supported out of the box so whether your learner has a PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone, feature phone or even just through Mxit, they will still be able to interact with Qurio.

Its Cost Effective Through our subscription and pay-as-you-go billing options, Qurio is cost effective for any institution and learner group size. Whether youre in an environment as large as a university with thousands of lecturers and tens of thousands of learners or as small as a school classroom with a single teacher with 10 learners, there is a pricing option that works for you. Free accounts are available for educators with learner groups up to 50.

HOW CAN I USE QURIO?

The Ice Breaker What are your thoughts? Start lectures with an open opinion based question, asking for students thoughts on a particular relevant topic. Let the students vote using their mobile phones and discuss the results in class. Daily/Weekly Quiz Most Qurious Delegate Create a daily/weekly quiz based on the content of the day/week. This can administered via the course convener or lecturers and can be discussed during tutorial time-slots. Side note: Lecturers can also tie in an incentive, possibly 5% of the course mark, for the students that participate the most or perform the best. Testing improves learning and thats what should be encouraged through Qurio. Post course analysis: Are you getting feedback? Create a scorecard at the end of the semester/course for students to complete. Rate all aspects of the course and make decisions based on the results. This can all be simply communicated in class or through e-mail. Qurio will take you from setting up the feedback form, to evaluating the results in absolutely no time. Everything else Qurio can be used in any situation that requires you to get feedback from your learners by asking them questions. Whether for formal or informal situations, Qurio is the go to tool for gathering data.
