Meeting Times and Places: Class meets Mondays and Thursdays from 11:30am to 12:45pm, September 03rd to 13th December, 2012 in Room HATEM C202. Course Objectives: 1. Organize, analyse, interpret, present and summarize the data in a useful and informative manner. 2. Understand, calculate and interpret the regression and correlation concept. 3. Understand and know the usefulness of probability in decision making. 4. Know how to apply the basic statistical tools using a statistical software package. Course Syllabus: Topic What is Statistics? There will be several take-home assignments. All assignments will be collected in class on the due date. Late assignments will be accepted but will get 50% of the score. All exams are cumulative.

Makeup exams are given before the regularly scheduled exams. Important Notes: 1. GO TO CLASS! The only way to keep up and know whats going on in Stats is to GO. 2. Leaving early is unacceptable (unless I am aware ahead of time). If you are unable to attend class, YOU ARE responsible to find out what you missed. 3. Turn your mobile off. 4. The Class notes will be provided on Blackboard before class so please print them off and bring them with you. 5. Side talks are not acceptable during class. Good Luck!!
