Namaste, the Christ in me greets the Christ in you. My name is D. A. Eskridge, this is
Inspirational Moments and I am your host. Today we will be discussing the Power of
Words. Jesus said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word
that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). God’s words nurture our spirit as
food nurtures our body. In Genesis 1:26 God said, “Let us make man in our image, after
our likeness. And let them have dominion … over all the earth.” “Life and death are in
the power of the tongue, and those who love it will partake of the fruits thereof”
(Proverbs 18:21).

In the book of Genesis we discover that we have been created in the image and likeness
of God. God said and it was so. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made
through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made” (John 1-3). As you see
the very nature of words are creative. Jesus said it this way: “I will give you the keys of
the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind or declare impossible on the earth, or what
we call the physical realm, will be bound or declared impossible in the heavens, or in the
mental (spiritual) realm; and whatever you loose or declare possible on the earth
(physical) realm, will be loosed or declared possible in the heavens (mental/ spiritual)
realm.

What does that mean? Do we determine what happens in heaven? Far be it! But what
happens is that heaven agrees with us. And what do I mean? If I say continuously
throughout my day, “This is going to be a bad day, times are hard, or I am just making
enough to make ends meet” heaven says “be it unto you according to your word.” Are
you beginning to understand the creative power of your words? We say many things
according to the tradition of men that do not line up with God’s Word. God’s Word says,
“I can do all things through Christ within me, I am more than a conquer and all things are
working together for my good.” Remember creator, “According to your faith (word) be it
unto you” (Matthew 9:29). Till next we meet, Namaste, the Christ in me greets the Christ
