Just like you, I am interested,
even fascinated, by the tremen-
dous potential hidden in each
and every one of us.
Just like you, I am certain that
my inner world is at least as fas-
cinating as the outer one, and
that by discovering it I gain
access to another quality of life.
Just like you, I am searching for a
way to balance my body, mind,
and emotions, in order to live
more fully and more happily.
Just like you, I am looking for the
best inspiration and guidance
from those who already explored
this emotional realm.
And just like you, I am more
interested in HOW to connect to
my emotions, as in WHY they are
so powerful and meaningful.
Based on my decade-long practice
of coaching, with individuals,
families and organizations, I
selected 32 main concepts having
the strongest impact on emotion-
al competencies:
Ambition
Anger
Blame
Care
Change
Courage
Difficulties
Emotions
Experience
Failure
Family
Fear
Forgiveness
Freedom
Generosity
Happiness
Hope
Imagination
Joy
Kindness
Life
Love
Past/Future
Peace
Perfection
Presence
Self-Awareness
Self-Confidence
Self-Control
Self-Respect
Simplicity
Stress
Wisdom
Each of those is illustrated by a
picture, worthing 1000 words, as
well as by a series of quotes. Those
were selected especially according
to their capacity of giving you
practical clues. Therefore, the
quotes are originated not from
the usual mainstream emotion-
al intelligence authors, but from
thinkers, writers, scientists and
artists from all cultures and ages,
having a good connection with
their emotional wisdom.
Even if they are not quoted, the
giants of E.I. such as professors
Peter Salovey and Jack Meyer, dr.
Reuven BarOn or dr. Daniel
Goleman, or Joshua Freedman,
are always present behind the
lines, guiding you with their pro-
found wisdom and empathy.
I choose to use pictures of chil-
dren because they are closer to
their emotions than adults, and
also more open to express their
own feelings. It is well known
that even if emotional intelli-
gence is developing during our
entire life, as an accumulation of
wisdom and maturity, its foun-
dation is set in childhood and
early adolescence.
Therefore, week after week, let
your inner child resonate with
the one(s) in the picture, in order
to reconnect with the experience
of the illustrated concept.
Read the quotes and allow them
to shutter your beliefs and self-
image. Most of them are para-
doxical, because the emotional
logic is perceived as paradoxical
by our rational mind. But the
moment when the two sorts of
logic combine, they lead us to a
deeper experience of reality, to a
better connection with both inner
and outer worlds.
During your daily activities, look
for opportunities either to experi-
ence this new way of thinking
and feeling, or to express more
freely the emotion of the week.
Discover what changes in your
efficiency, wellness, charisma,
peace, or happiness. Discover new
ways of dealing with the others:
family, friends, customers, co-
workers, neighbors. Feel more,
understand more, do more.
By keeping a diary, it will be eas-
ier to notice the subtle changes
occurring in your life, and con-
nect them with a specific concept
or practice. Write down any rele-
vant association among your
thoughts, emotions and actions.
And, if you have around friends
or relatives also wanting to devel-
op their emotional potential,
share with themall your findings
and successes.
May the Emotional Force be with
you!
Daniel Bichis,
The emotional frontier is truly the next frontier to conquer in human understanding. The opportunity we face now, even before that fron-
tier is fully explored and settled, is to develop our emotional potential and accelerate rather dramatically into a new state of being.
- Doc Childre and Howard Martin, The HeartMath Solution
How to use this calendar for developing your emotional intelligence?
The essentials to happiness are something to love, some-
thing to do, and something to hope for.
William Blake
Happiness is not in our circumstance but in ourselves. It

As you sincerely go for deeper levels of love, the results
you'll have in well-being and increased quality of life will
motivate you, leading you to a wider dimensional aware-

a passion for self-management. - Sara Paddison

Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a
humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you
