Bloomingdale Civic Association (BCA) Needs YOUR Support!!

The Bloomingdale Civic Association seeks your support of its biennial 2013 BLOOMINGDALE HOUSE TOUR & ART SHOW. This years event theme is:

HISTORIC BLOOMINGDALE: DIVERSE DIVINE DESIGN


Event proceeds primarily will be earmarked for college scholarships for Bloomingdale youth, as well community beautification and other community enhancement efforts. The tour will be about more than interior design and the architectural charm of the neighborhoods century old homes: It is also about bringing together a neighborhood to celebrate its rich past and common future, supporting the artists who now enliven its streets, and engaging both our youth and elders in the stories of our neighborhood and city. Consequently, with your support, the 2013 Bloomingdale House Tour & Art Show will include the following elements: Historical Research & Education including graphic displays of Bloomingdales history along the house tour route, and kiosks manned by neighborhood architectural and social history experts. Art Show & Reception featuring many of Bloomingdales visual, musical, and culinary artists. Youth Outreach & Involvement through training and mentorship of 20 high school students for whom the event will be a community service experience. Professionally Designed Tour Program Book that will highlight tour homes, artists, history, and businesses and tour sponsors.
