LION BRAND Lion Cotton medium worsted-weight yarn (cotton) Crochet Hook: 5.50mm [US I/9] Yarn Needle Sewing Needle & Thread 1 Small Button (bib) Suspender clip (binky clip) Velcro or metal snap (binky clip) 1 Large Button (boy binky clip)

ch = chain; dc = double crochet; sc = single crochet; st(s) = stitch(es); [ ] = work directions in brackets the number of times specified.

Special Abbreviations
sc2tog (single crochet 2 stitches together) [Insert hook in next stitch, yarn over and pull up loop] 2 times, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook1 stitch decreased.

Special Techniques
Adjustable Ring Method Holding the yarn a few inches from the end, wrap around your finger. Do not remove wrap from finger, insert hook into the wrap and draw up a loop of working yarn. Chain one to secure the loop and remove ring from finger. Work stitches of first round in the ring. Pull gently, but firmly on tail to tighten ring.

Bib
Ch 20. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across19 sc. (Do not count your turning chain as a stitch) Row 2: Ch 1, turn; make 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across to last stitch, 2 sc in last st21 sc. Rows 3: Ch 1, turn; make 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across to last stitch, 2 sc in last st23 sc. Rows 4: Ch 1, turn; make 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across to last stitch, 2 sc in last st25 sc. Rows 5-21: Ch 1, turn; sc in each st across25 sc. Row 22: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in each st across to last 2 stitches, sc2tog23 sc. Row 23: Ch 1, turn; sc in each st across23 sc. Row 24: Ch 1, turn; sc in next 5 sts5 sc. Row 25: Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in next st, sc2tog3 sc. Rows 26-52 (strap): Ch 1, turn; sc in each st across3 sc. Edging Join in new color, sc around edge of bib. Fasten off and weave in ends. Finishing *Sew a small button (about ) to the top corner of the bib on the opposite side of strap. (Button should fit through the stitches of the strap.)

Burpcloth
Ch 22. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across21 sc. (Do not count your turning chain as a stitch) Rows 2-44: Ch 1, turn; sc in each st across21 sc. Edging Join in new color, sc around edge of burpcloth, making 3 sc in each corner st.

Binky Clip
Strap Ch 38. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch, [sc in next ch, dc in next ch] repeat across to last ch, 3 sc in last ch. Row 2: Continuing across other side of chain, dc in first ch, [sc in next ch, dc in next ch] repeat across; join with sl st in first dc. Fasten off and weave in ends. Daisy Make an adjustable ring. Round 1: Work 10 sc in ring; join in new color with sl st in first sc. Round 2: [ Ch 2, work 3 dc in next st, ch 2, sl st in next st] 5 times5 petals made. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Finishing (see photos below) #1 Separate the two halves of the Velcro or metal snap. With a needle & thread sew one half centered on the tip of the backside of the strap. Sew the other half centered about 1.5 above the other half. #2 Using a needle & thread, sew the flower/button to the front side of the strap, about 1.5 above the tip (the flower/button should be centered over the backside of the velcro/snap). #3 Loop the suspender clip through the other end of the strap. Slightly overlap the tip to the backside of the strap & sew closed using a needle & thread. #4 Loop the binky handle through the end with the flower/button, & attached halves together. #1 #2
