Handy Tutorial Install VMware Player in Ubuntu 12.10 & 12.04

This simple tutorial is going to show you how to install VMware Player in Ubuntu Linux. VMware Player has released version 5.0, here Ill show how to download and install VMware Player 5.0 from the ocial site. First of all, download the VMware Player for Linux the .bundle le from this page. Open up a terminal window from the dash home, or press Ctrl+Alt+T. Install the required packages by running this command in terminal:
sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-`uname -r`

Go to the Downloads folder and give the executable privilege for the downloaded package:
cd ~/Downloads/ && chmod +x VMware-Player-*.bundle

Now run it, it will pop-up an installer wizard. Just follow on it and VMware Player will be installed.
sudo ./VMware-Player-*.bundle

Once installed, search for and launch VMware Player from the dash.
