Product Descriptions
GL-6B is a Class 2 Bluetooth module using BlueCore4-AudioROM chipset from leading
Bluetooth chipset supplier Cambridge Silicon Radio.
This converter is used to convert a UART with 9600bps, one start bit, 8 data bits, one
stop bit, no parity bit format to Bluetooth UART protocol.
Normally, password is not required before this module can be operated. When this
module can be detected, just double click it and connection will be established. If it requests
you to input password, Please input 0000 or 1234.
Uses

These two Bluetooth modules are all slave units. Slave unit can not communicate with
another one of the same kind.

The Bluetooth module can communicate with any master units with a Bluetooth dongle
such as laptop, desktop, PDA and cell phone. And it can be detected as a virtual COM. A
personal computer must have a Bluetooth adapter in order to communicate with the
Bluetooth module. Normally some desktop computers and most recent laptops come with a
built-in Bluetooth adapter; others will require an external one in the shape of a dongle. A cell
phone or PDA with Bluetooth functions enabled is able to pair with the Bluetooth module.

Is the Bluetooth module able to communicate with another one directly through a computer?
The answer is based on your application. Generally speaking, this Bluetooth module can
not communicate with another one directly even they are all connected to a PC since there
is only one module can be activated at a time due to the software limitation. However, if
there exists an application that allows the data transfer between these two virtual COMs,
that is the software you need.
