Sludge Incineration Plant

The incineration plants are especially designed for incineration of wastewater sludge from municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. The plants are CE marked and comply with current EU and national rules, regulations and directives on this type of plants.

Features The BioCon Sludge Incineration Plant operates as an extension of the BioCon Sludge Drying Plant No need for external source of energy, when utilising the combination of the BioCon dryer and the incineration plant Compact furnace design After-combustion of the flue gas before treatment and emission through stack Includes dry flue gas cleaning system, which complies with the EU directive Designed for intermittent as well as non-stop operation Low operating and maintenance costs

From the furnace the flue gas is led through a separate after-combustion chamber. To ensure the organic matters in the flue gas are burnt out, the retention time is at least 2 seconds at a temperature of more than 850 oC.

The BioCon Sludge Incineration Plant is designed to incinerate dried sludge with a dry solids content of more than 85% and can preferably be combined with the BioCon Sludge Drying Plant. The Incineration Process A screw conveyor, combining the two plants, feeds the dried sludge directly into the incineration furnace. The bottom of the furnace is inclined and furnished with a movable, water-cooled grate. The incineration is performed on the upper part of the grate. The moveable grate cools the burntout slags and slowly leads these to the bottom and outlet of the furnace. The furnace is equipped with primary, secondary and tertiary air supply to ensure optimum incineration of the
